This is a great example of where the power of social media should be solving problems. @Ford Motor Company knows the thread exists, should be in touch with the company that made the product for Ford, and they should be on this forum specifying the correct settings and mailing the proper stickers to every single person that has one of these units.

Here is what mine did and it confirms the 24AMP settings via the new Ford Manual Addendum is indeed correct.

Any set point I attempt above 24 AMPs gives this error message.

Ok. Good that you got it working with the dip switches, but this is a poor UI experience. :(

Too much technical jargon shown in FordPass. All they had to do was change the upper limit of the slider control.

I had a Ford connected charge station installed Saturday but it will not charge. When plugged in to the car the charger indicates that is charging by the pulsating blue light. But in a few seconds it goes to a solid blue line that indicates it's in standby mode. And my Ford pass app says plugged in but not charging. My app is set to charge when plugged in. I contacted ford customer service and all the technician could say was "Hmmm, that's odd. Either you have a loose connection or a bad charger." Any ideas?
We tried changing the dip switch settings, to the revised settings. Still won't charge. Tried the settings that were in the manual. Nothing. Rebooted the breaker and reinstalled the charger on my app. Called the hotline number that was given to me by a ford service field rep. The number doesn't work. Called the ford customer service number that I was given a few days ago and they said my case number is incorrect even though I repeated it back to them when they gave it to me originally. I'm running out of patience. I'm thinking the unit itself must be bad.

Jeanne,

Have you tried "Use preferred charge settings" yet? If I recall, others have had issues with "Charge when plugged in," even though it's probably what you want.

You can use preferred charge settings and set it to charge every day from 4 am to 3 am, for example.

A solid blue line on the charge station, and solid blue lights on the car's ring indicator both indicate that everything is good to go and the vehicle is waiting for its preferred charge time to begin. The "Waiting to Charge" that you see in FordPass is likewise the same.

If there were an issue with your charge station, you would see a different status than what you've described.

I don't think I did. Right now I have a full charge because I charged up when I got to work. I'll try it Monday. Maybe that will work.

Well, I tried the preferred charge settings and got up the next morning and nothing. I spent 2 1/2 hours on a 3 way call between Ford and the charger manufacturer. They determined its a charger issue and are going to swap it out for me. So we'll try again in a few more weeks.

Sounds frustrating for sure! It's really good that you have easy alternatives in the mean time.

Hi Jeanne, did you ever get the charger swapped out? I’m having the same problems after several months of it working perfectly.

I did but it wasn't the charger, it waas my car. The dealer did a recall update on it and it works fine now.

Ok, thank you. Did they tell you specifically what the problem was, or did it just fix itself with the updates? As far as I know, my car is up to date. It charges just fine in the wild and with the supplied charger.

I was getting orange ring at the charge port after charging for about 2%. Now it just goes into "standby" mode after charging for about 2%.

There's a tsb #22-2257 to reprogram the obcc module
