Ionic 5N would tempt me. Something so Hooligan about it that I could just throw caution to the wind.

But that's not even the same animal as an Ionic 5.
And I'd still have to get past my Hyundai/Kia negative bias that I just haven't been able to shake from the past.

Curious: Which competition in the US market is way ahead? (Unless you mean Tesla?, or non-US market?)
GM has 11 models out. Supercruise is now equal or better than bluecruise. VHL on all suv vehicles. EGMP (Kia and Hyundai) with 800v architecture and monster charging compared to ours. Our screen infotainment is so laggy. Our built-in navigation and route planning are awful. We can't manually start preconditioning of the battery. No ventilated seats. No heated seats in the back. No heat pump. I can keep going...
But design and performance of the mach-e are still nicer than most. I even consider a GT and almost closed on a crazy good deal yesterday. But Ford is behind and I see no signs of recovery. My opinion anyways.
Btw, I consume at least 4 hours per week of ev content. I'm not uninformed...

You definitely can point to Lucid's ($100k? level) incredible efficiency in terms of mi/kWh, and Rivian vehicles ($80k? level) are great but more dollars and might suddenly go out of business.
Lucid has a $585 lease deal in the Air Pure going on.

I think GM is doing really well. With so many models covering all car levels, they can justify investing more money in developing platforms. Ford has only the mach-e, and the lightning is dying a slow and agonizing death.

I visited a large Ford dealership (top-20 in the US in sales). They had rows and rows of Broncos, Bronco Sports, Escapes, Trucks. A giant parking Disney-sized parking lot.

They said Lightnings and Mach-Es are flying off the lots and much of that is due to good incentives and financing rates. I tried to get a Flash (actually two separate ones) but they sold the day I arrived. XLTs are on the lot... dozens of them but every single Flash sold. Flash is the value trim. Broncos have $8-11K in incentives and dealer discounts but are not selling. I think the market knows a good value.

Roger that. So you are talking about comparing the Mach-E to Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6 as well as GM models like Equinox, Lyriq, Blazer. OK. So it's the 800V architecture and SuperCruise you are talking about. Sounds good.

Kia EV6 GT, Ioniq 5 N, GV60 Performance, BMW i4, BMW i5, Blazer SS, Model 3 Perf, Lucid Pure, EQE, RZ 450e, Ariya. If you move up a little or lease…. Audi etron GT, Taycan, i4 M50, Model S, Lucid GT, EQS, iX, i7, Q6/Q8 etron.

Polestar 3, EX90, R1S, EV9, Model X, ID.Buzz are in their own 3-row class.

There are so many options now. If I wanted a cheapish lease EV I’d probably pick an Ioniq 5, RZ 450, or iX.
Good point. If you can drop more than $80-100k on a vehicle (which is the cost of a small house where I live) you can look at other vendors: BMW, Porsche, Audi and Mercedes too.

Don't those good lease deals tend to always have a downpayment that suddenly clarifies why they make a profit on it.

If it's $585 with no down, that is spectacular.

And it is likely that Lucid will still be in business in the short term, so only a little risk. I guess I'd be curious where to get it Serviced near my house. But regardless Lucid is amazing technology.

Ridiculous! And for a Select with standard range...

I'll wait until next year when my Options contract is closer to expiration. Ford may offer better incentives at the end of 2025, including providing Options customers a way out of their contracts in return for purchasing another new Ford on better terms.

The dealer knocked out $16.5k off the msrp on the gt, bringing it down to $44k, pretty incredible. A fully loaded GTPE was above $70k + markup just 28 months ago. Wild! But the best trade in he could make was $23k on my premium awd ER 2022. I owe $39.5k. The low trade in killed the deal. I will wait another year.
Or I might get an EV9 this week. There are crazy deals out there if you buy by 12/31. Many dealers desperate that Trump will retroactively kill the tax credit back to 1/1/2025.

I mean, if you discount high enough, any car can be a good deal. But truth is the lightning doesn't hold its weight when compared to the Silverado and the R1T. It's an excellent first gen ev truck, but needs to evolve and Ford seems it's pulling the plug on it.

GM has 8 models out.
I made a mistake. The GM group has 11 ev models out, with another one already unveiled:

Chevy:
Bolt
Equinox
Blazer
Silverado

GMC:
Hummer pick-up
Hummer SUV
Sierra Denali

Cadillac:
Lyriq
Optiq
Escalade
Celestiq - the custom built mid-$300k one
Vistiq 3-row suv was just unveiled, starting production in 2026.

BMW has 4 models. Mercedes has 5.

While all this happens with GM and others, we still can't even see how fast the car is charging on the screen... The mach-e is an excellent first gen ev and I love mine. But it's falling behind and losing competitiveness every day.

Why does it say 2022 Mustang? I’m currently working on a 2024 GT lease deal and best im getting is $1000 total at signing (including taxes and fees) with $625 a month. Curious about your deal!
