For gas milage that is true, but with EVs there is some multiplier that the manufacturer is allowed to apply to the results. the default multiplier is 0.7, but some manufacturers are using a higher multiplier in the EPA results. The president of Ford of Europe is on record saying Mach E will have a WTLP range go 600 km...this is higher than the Model Y and much higher than the EPA range in that other thread. This is part of the reason that there is huge difference in EPA range between the Model S and Taycan, but real world testing reveals a much smaller difference.

I am no engineer. I was at the road show yesterday. The Cali route 1 had a little over 3000 miles on the odometer. Mike range left was 180 with 61%. In another thread it was extrapolated to 295. Since the battery has 3000 miles on it these numbers seem very close to what Ford stated.

And, if Ford does make the 270 estimate, how would you explain that? The data you have been relying on was wrong? Your assumptions were wrong, Ford made changes that yielded results, some combination of these factors, or?

Having been in both the Model 3 and the Mach-E is is hard for me to treat them as equals vis a vis price. While the Model 3 may have better battery range, I felt like I was riding in a Pinto compared to the Mach-E. The quality of the Mach-E body, paint, design, interior, sound, all exceeded what I saw in the Model 3, not to mention the interior space being significantly more comfortable for this 6'2" 275 lb guy. If you are only buying for range, then compare the price, but I think there is much more to consider.

I asked the dealer to place the MME next to an Edge. From my observation only they appeared to be the same size. The Baby Bronco is much smaller and is the size of an Escape. Sitting on both the Edge and the MME the MME seemed to have more leg room in the bag and front simply because there was no tunnel and the dash is smoother with less stuff on it

I'm wondering about the width still. We've got 3 kids. 2 still need to be in car seat/booster. Those darn things take up so much room. I like that the back seats are a flat bench in the Mach E. Our current car pushes the car seat away from the door 6+ inches because of the seat shape. Any idea how the width compared to the Edge inside? I haven't looked through this entire thread to see if this was asked/answered.

I can say the following
1. The anchors for the seats in the back are on the backside of the rear seats so that they are not taking up room where you sit.

2. My friend is 6-0 and weighs about 220. I am 6-0 and weigh 265. In short we are not small guys. We sat comfortably in the back seat at the same time and there was still room between us for another person. I am not saying another one of us would be comfortable there but if you are talking 2 car seats and say another child/teenager, I think that you will be fine.

I am not sure if that helps but I tried. Also of note both the charger and the fix a flat kit are underneath the trunk carpet. It is VERY convenient to get to. You simply pull up the carpet of the trunk and there it is. I do say that the charger itself is large and feels well built. It is definitely more solid than the one that came with my 2015 fusion hybrid and a heck of lot easier to get to. In my fusion is was buried under the front seat I think. Regardless I decided to buy a second charger to plug into my garage so that I never had to deal with the free one that came with the car. The MME is a much better thought out and appears to be EXTREMELY well built. It has two adapters ( roughly 2 feet long)that plug into the main unit. One is for 120 and the other for 240.

This is pretty much the most important factor for me. I have 2 little kids in car seats and if the car is too cramped back there then its pointless for me to buy.

Yes, all the other features in this car are fantastic. However, if it doesn't fit my lifestyle then there will probably be +1 Mach-E sitting at the dealer when I am done looking at it.

Top three things for me when it comes to buying a vehicle, and not just a "toy", are:

1. Price
2. Space for the family
3. Safety from impacts (crash tests)
4. Efficiency/economy/cost of ownership
5. Features

A lot of people on this forum are head over heels for this thing, but many seem to be wanting this for more frivolous reasons. If you were REALLY trying to save money, you wouldn't be buying a car thats over 45k in the first place. You best be checking those used car lots for a hybrid Prius, lol.
