Ford Scheduling Only On Thursdays?

Hey everyone, I placed an order online (and selected my dealer thru the online process instead of having the dealer place the order) a few months ago and find myself checking everyday to see if I've gotten a production date. I've heard Ford mainly schedules on Thursdays, so am I wasting my time checking any day other than Thursdays, or has anyone gotten notified of being scheduled on days other than Thursdays?

It was on a Monday, Oct 25 specifically, that Ford notified me that my 2021 order was being scheduled for production on Nov 22. The production date didn't show up on Ford's tracking sight the prior Thursday. Ford then postponed production twice, each time for one week. Neither delay came with any notice. I haven't received the car but understand it has arrived at the local BNSF RR intermodal hub as of yesterday.

Take this for what it is worth. I routinely called every Friday hoping for a VIN. Last week the young man (named Christian) on Ford's end gave me more information than any previous Ford rep. He said he could see my order in the system even though I had only heard crickets for months, that my order was not held up for a chip shortage, and that I should call any day of the week because VINs may be assigned any day. My VIN and build date for my CR1 popped up less than a week later.

Can you let us know if you called your dealer or if there was a corporate number you called?

I called the same Ford Marketing number everyone calls and got the VIN, then texted my dealer and got the build date. No unique corporate numbers.

Curious when you placed your order and when you received your build date. I just ordered a CR1 and trying to generalize a timeframe. Thx

I got my schedule for production email on a Thursday for what it’s worth.
