I'm kind of stumped on this one. Nothing has really changed in ages other than an update I got a few nights ago. Ford Sync seems to be stuck on a boot loop often times freezing mid animation like what's shown in the picture. The screen then goes black for a bit and loops back to this animation over and over. Obviously locked out of any controls on the car.

I've tried the trusty steering wheel reset but it just does the same thing when coming back up.

I've tried playing with reverse cam and got the fordsync screen to fully come up for a few mins before rebooting but it did have several errors most noticeably "Volume Control Fault" or something. Along with nothing being shown because of ssl cert errors.

Disconnect the 12V battery for 10-15 minutes?

Ok sorry guys I feel like im 100 years old trying to upload pictures lol. Every time I edit it gets worse. I will try the 12v pull. (this is a 22 with a stock 12v so it might be dieing)

Weird TLS certificate errors are often caused by having the incorrect time and date set. Your photo shows "5:11", if the actual time was different then the date was probably messed up too. This might have been a factor that the reboot via 12V pull would have helped resolve. Another Ford bug...

Did this happen on its own or did you disconnect the 12V battery to fix it?
I followed the guide to disconnect the battery, waited 10 mins and it's been good ever since. i downloaded car scanner on android and my 12v is showing 80%? So it might have just been a glitch resulting from the update.

great news that it is working again... but do yourself a favor and replace the 12v battery.
