I knew what I signed up for when I purchased this car. I'm an early adopter and expect hiccups. In actuality, outside of the home charging issue, most of the buggy behavior has been tolerable and hasn't diminished the driving experience. I've thoroughly enjoyed owning it. I've generally been able to figure things out on my own or leaned on the forums to get around other issues that were more difficult to source. I don't want an OTA every month or two. I'd prefer no more than two or three a year, and it looks like that's what we're on pace to see. In my experience, the more things get updated, the higher likelihood another problem is going to be introduced.

So does this mean the OTA promised for Q2 has now been pushed to Q3?

SSM 49673 - 2021 Mustang Mach-E - March 17, 2021 - Sirius Presets/Audio Settings Not Saving After A Key Cycle - Engineering Investigation

Some 2021 Mustang Mach-E vehicles may experience a symptom of Sirius presets not saving after a key cycle for additional pages 4-6 or audio settings for tone, balance, speed compensated volume or sound mode not saving after a key cycle. Inform the customer that Ford is developing software that will be programmed to the vehicle via an over-the-air (OTA) update in 2Q 2021.

yet again this comes up

"Ford pushed out Sync 4a too soon; they clearly are rushing things too much"
"Ford is moving too slowly; they should push out software much faster"

  • Front trunk release soft button added to center stack touchscreen

I wonder if this would actually save any time or be any easier vs just pulling the lever twice...
You could do it without opening the driver's door. ;)

Yeah... I just asked a question. Wasn’t sure if this news article means the first substantive OTA has now been pushed to Q3, or if we can still expect the one mentioned in that SSM in Q2.

Well, the profile picture I’m using right now has Gate 4 at the Rouge Complex in the background. ?

If you don’t opt in and agree to an NDA, you won’t be part of the early access program. I really hope I get an invite.
I’ll settle for an invite to the regular program ?

It's been 4 months since sales began and there's been 1 update so far. I already feel like Ford abandoned the Mach-E.
Since they announced that OTAs would start 6 months after release, it's been 4 months now, and it's just over 2 months until Q3.... Seems like that are on track to do what they said they would do.

What is all this "ford has abandoned the mustang" crap?
I want the quirks and bugs of my car fixed, but one of the reasons I don't want a Tesla is random changes you can not opt out of changing how my car works. And I def. don't want them weekly or even monthly. I would like steady once or twice a year fixes AFTER these launch quirks are fixed asap.

Do any of you run computer or phone betas? Betas are not for production use for a reason. My car is my life as it gets me to and from work, to and from getting food. I absolutely don't want to risk my car doing those things for a convenience feature or worse the ford equivalent of a fart app.

I liked that last bullet point on the feature list of that upcoming OTA update:
  • In-front-trunk release button functional
What?!? You mean that release button in the frunk, that some have made fun of, isn't even functional yet. I guess I haven't locked a small child in there to test it out.
