How are people getting a Ford pass notification that the car is locked as they walk away? Where is that setting?

That's tied to the car software. About a month ago they issued a service bulletin to take it into the dealer for a Paak update.

My car has only gotten OTA's. Nothing has been programmed by the dealer that I am aware of, unless they did it before delivery in February.

Hmm strange. The reason I say that is myself and others have reported no walk away lock notification before going to the dealer, and upon picking the car up, the notifications were present.

Unless the most recent ota includes the update dealers were doing

My car has never had walk-away lock notifications. But this works normally.

Looks like my car was built in late March and it had "Walk away Locking" from day one. Dealer never performed any updates. They had no idea what to do when this car was received. Notifications are not included in the App.

My car has never had walk-away lock notifications. But this works normally.

Lol ok that's the disconnect then. @Gimme_my_MME asked about the notification, and I was telling him that came with the dealer installed update.

So if you've never done dealer updates, that would make sense you don't get the notification

Just updated mine on android too and check out the "phone as key" notification LOL!

So many options but I can't cancel...

Lol...here is mine from my Samsung Galaxy S9.

And then a few minutes later...

One of my cancels went away...and I didn't do anything but exit and come back into the FordPass app. Weird.

This is another difference observed.

For any other Android users getting sick of ALWAYS having a Paak notification, you can turn that off in the OS notification settings

That option does not exist on my Android phone under 3.26. Must be tied tot he car update.

I had SecuriAlert on my 3.25 FordPass app, so it must be tied to the car software and not the app software (or maybe at least 3.25?).

The 1.4.0 update had the feature enabled in the car software. 3.26 was supposed to add the code to the app.

I checked this morning on 3.25 it wasn't there, immediately after the update to 3.26 those options showed up.
