FordPass 4.23.1 just released

Departure times are intended to warm the battery, and then the cabin. To do this requires house current, specifically 240v (120v is inadequate). Therefore, if you want to precondition the battery, plug in.

Departure times will serve to warm the cabin when not plugged in.

That’s exactly the reason why I asked because they don’t(atleast for me), the car sees them and I’ve clicked that option in fordpasswhich allows the car to start without shore power but to no go. The funtion has worked at some points in the past 17months but never consistantly so I always thought it was the same for everybody.

Do you still have to enter driver ID? I see no mention of your fix on the thread where you noted you had the same problem as others. There is no way I can send a departure schedule through FP while in this fleet mode.

FWIW, this update didn't fix departure times for me at all. Still completely broken.

I can set them in the app, but they never make it to the car. And then when I go to drive the car, and the car checks back in with ford, It deletes the departure times from the app to match what the car has.

I had the same thing happen. Last night I set a departure time for this morning. Showed in app, but apparently the car didn't pick it up and wasn't in the app this morning when I was ready to leave.

Just now, I set another departure time in the app, and checked the car. It picked up the departure time and it is still there in the app.

Departure time was set for three hours from now. I'll post if it disappears again.

The icons aren't there until you configure phone as a key. Tap the hyperlink directly below your red outline.

Thanks a lot ? My phone was actually already setup with Paak but the software failed to display it. I did a reset and voila now it works ?
Funny when I talked to fordpass customerservice they didn't mention that the icons only show up when the phone is connected with Paak ?

Since I got 4.23.1 yesterday my car has stopped reporting data back to my phone. Battery and range dont update in the app, ev driving logs arent showing from that point on, and I cant view my cars current location. I still show both BT connections and PaaK works fine. I forced closed the app, I rebooted my sync. Anyone else experience or have ideas?

I just tried an experiment. While the car is running, I made some departure changes in the App (Android, Pixel 7), and the changes DO make it to the car, watching the car display, they pretty much show up immediately upon saving.

So I wondered, if the car is remote started, would this also work? I remote started, then made some departure changes in the app and saved. Went out to the remote started car, started it, and checked, and sure enough the changes were there. Stopped the car.

Final test just for the heck of it. The car not running, the usual use-case, made another change in the app and saved. Went out to the car, the change WAS THERE! What the heck? Did Ford fix this in the last 20 minutes? Did my tests somehow make it start working? Mysteries!!!

I'm able to set a departure time in FordPass, whether the car is running or not, and see it both in the car and the app. However, at some point prior to the departure time it disappears from the car and the app and the preconditioning and climate setting doesn't occur.

As I've seen the setting stick for at least six hours I suspect that the cancellation occurs at or just prior the scheduled departure time.

Just wanted to post an update on my experiments. After one successful departure time update from the app without the car running, it no longer works. No matter what I do, it doesn't make it to the car if the car is not running.

Once again this morning I remote started the car, set up a departure time in the app, and again it worked, made it to the car. For me it only works reliably if the car is running, Even if remote started. I guess that's a workaround, but something is definitely funky.

One other thing I wanted to mention, I do have my car hooked up to my home Wi-Fi and it's a good strong signal. I don't know if that would interfere or would cause some kind of bug, but since @benk016 seems to be working with Ford on this, I thought I would let him and you all know.

Mine won't even apply when the car is running.

I can set them in the car, And they show up in the app and stick. But changes in the app never make it to the car.

I also set one for 2:30pm and the car changed it to 1:30pm. It's all over the place.

It has not been working in the app after one time. I ser a departure in the car. Just updated the app tto4.23.1 and departure has no error message and my departure ser in the car showed up in the app. Havnt tried anything else yet

It seems to only work that way at the moment. Any change I make in the app never makes it to the car. And some changes I make in the car show up in the app, and then a few days later will just be changed to something different.

This issue is known and being investigated by Ford.

What could be so hard about this? Not the end of the world, but really frustrating that this still doesn't work reliably. Hopefully they get it fixed by next winter...
