I'm so thankful for single tap for the actions. The press and hold wouldn't have been too bad if it were for like a second, but the amount of time you had to press and hold was ridiculously long.

I'm uhhh... Good and you?
Residual text from something else and lack of awareness! LOL sorry but glad to hear you are doing good

I created a second Ford account, linked my MME to it and am using that one for Tronity and the Android widget. If Ford locks it, no problem. I'll just create another one. I have been using it for months and it has not been locked.
Apparently it depends on the severity or intrusiveness into Ford’s proprietary info. From my experience, when the Mach E were still new, third party entities, retrieved to much info, constantly to the point that they will run the 12V battery down. Ford was and is monitoring their vehicles to gather as much data to adjust and improve their algorithms. Ford was and is sensitive to those intrusions. Maybe now they are more forgiving.

Could be. Before I created the second account I was using my primary account and Ford locked it. I think it was Tronity and not the widget. Tronity then canceled their Ford service and back I January started it up again. They say they have an approved API with Ford now. I think the widget is still using the old API. In any case, my account has been good since January.

As far as the OP goes, I have been using the new FP for about a month and I like it. I never used the planning functionality because I have a paid subscription to ABPR and it works very, very well (if you have the parameters set correctly). I always compare the ABRP route to what Google Maps says as the Google usually picks the best route. If they are different I evaluate both including charger reliability and pick the route I want to take.

My biggest complaint about the new app is the sensitivity of the target charge slider. It is hard to get it to settle on a specific charge target. But that is an easy fix and not that big a deal.

At first I didn't like not having the odometer on the first page but it isn't hard to pull it up when needed so that isn't a big deal for me. It's just different. I adjusted and now it is good.

Mark,

I used to subscribe to ABRP when I had my Tesla and liked how it could link to the vehicle and pull info such as my SOC%, WhMi, etc. Does Tronity do the same?

So for people that are having trouble with the new app, I’d recommend two things:
  1. Go drive your car
  2. Quit FordPass and reboot your phone
Those should fix most of the initial sync issues people are having. If you have a poor internet connection you may see blank buttons until the status can be downloaded.

Location and public charging are working again this morning for me (Android, Pixel 6), it's possible something was resolved on the back end. Noticed that public charging does not appear to include level 2 charging stations, the old app had an option to include those but maybe that will added later.

Wait dark mode, how??
Don't know. I'm on Android and my system setting is for dark mode. Just opened the new app and it's dark. Couldn't find an obvious setting for it though, so maybe it defaults to system settings?

Odd Ford should put out a major update on the eve of a multi-day holiday weekend. These things should be done on a Monday or Tuesday (non-holiday week). I'm going to wait until Tuesday to download the update. The guy at the Ford Agency will likely be working then, should I have difficulties. Also Ford will have had 5 days of experience dealing with glitches.

Yes. It is not real time while driving - maybe a 5-10 minute delay. But it tracks all my trips and charging history.

What am I doing wrong then? I signed up this morning. I’ve driven 200 miles and it’s never updated.

Any Suggestions?
Thanks
