I used the app to start the car the other day, and since then, the app always shows the car as running, but it isn't. It won't let me shut it off, and when I "add 15 min," it claims success, but the car remains off. It's been about a week. Other features of the app (locking, tracking state of charge etc) work as they should.

Both the app and my iPhone are updated. Any advice? The car's been started shut off directly (via the button inside) several times since this has been happening.

Kill the app, relaunch, refresh. I get weird bugaboos like this often. The prior instructions have solved 99% of them.

I have the same issue but have a second Ford. I just swap vehicles and it clears up. Does not happen all the time but quite often.

I have tried closing the app probably 30 times. I'm thinking I may need to uninstall it and start over.

I was having the exact same problem. I have a Ford Taurus that doesn't have connectivity, but shows up on the app. I switched to the Taurus, them back to the MME and it cleared. I know it's not much help if you don't own another Ford, but thought I would throw it out there.

What I “think” I have found is if I go out and start the car prior to the the app receiving a reduction in the run-time left from the auto-start then it freezes. I just noticed that the other day. I am not sure that it is correct but I am going to start testing my hypothesis.

Is your car reporting charge status correctly?

I’m going to assume you know how to quit an app properly, guessing you also have rebooted the phone too?

Yes, have tried both.

Uninstalling and re-installing the app did work, FWIW. I didn't try logging out and back in.

Simply turning the phone off and back on has cured this problem for me.

I can say in my case that as long as I verify thru the app that the auto start timer is counting down then the auto start does not freeze up. If I just auto start and do not go back and view the app afterwards it will remain frozen at 15 min. I assume the app is looking for comms with car or something after the start and without it then freezes up. Just my experience from testing.
