FP 5.0.1 missing start button

So the FordPass update pushed yesterday completely removed the much maligned “Start” button. iOS version of the app. Now there is no capability to start charging immediately. Anyone else seeing this?

Edit. I had to go out , unplug and replug in the car before it showed up. Another question is this function BT or Cloud dependent? My garage is out of BT range.

The button is there, for me at least, but only if the car is plugged in. It's on the home screen at the top right.

Ya. Had to unplug and replug it to get it to show up.

Weird, I've never had that button since the FordPass 5 upgrade. I only have the fan icon to turn on the climate control - is that the same?

No it allows you to immediately start charging. The name is unfortunate.

Have you checked for the button appearing once you plug into the charge port?

It's coded to not be present if nothing is plugged in.

And if I understand correctly it is not to start charge session but to charge to 100%.

That’s what it did when I pushed it to see if it was remote start…

I hear all of the comments about remote starting and it sounds like climate control is not enough of what they want the car to do. What else do you want the car to do?
Maybe they want a remote start button along with a remote drive button to remotely drive the car to their front door.
I'm confused on why you need to remotely start a car that doesn't have an engine to warm up in the winter.
My MME doesn't have a start button, it has a stop button. I assume that's because it's setup to charge when plugged in. There's no reason to start it because it's already started.

Starting climate is the same thing as remote starting.

When you reach your programmed charge setting it will change to Start.
