Unfortunately, Ford is really dropped the ball on this issue. I’ve been driving my car over a year. Had the module replaced had the camera replaced in the same issue keeps coming up short from having to buy a whole new car there’s not a whole lot you can do for its customer service from the dealer to corporate has been a total waste of time

Did you have the glass recalls done? Have you read how the owner can check if the cabling from the camera was kinked during the windshield work? Procedure sounds easy and is explained in this thread.

Did you have the glass recalls done? Have you read how the owner can check if the cabling from the camera was kinked during the windshield work? Procedure sounds easy and is explained in this thread.
Yes I have had that done and it was failing before the work to the windshield.

After nearly a year of trying to get this fixed, they tell me it’s a “new issue” because the last fix was a “software” solution and this is a “different repair.”

Ford wants to only cover part of the repair for me because in the last 12 months since I started trying to get resolution I’ve gone over 36k. Even though they haven’t offered a solution till this week. I’ll pay the partial repair and “fix“ the car and then I’m selling it because I have zero confidence this fix will last any longer than the software fix.

Good luck to you all. Please learn from my errors, patience and kindness and trying to wait nicely for help will get you nowhere. I’m agreeing with the pessimist above about Ford’s ability to resolve the issue.

try checking the connector yourself.....
- pop off the black cover (5 clips)
- rotate the coax cable/connector around to relieve strain
- pop cover back on
- clear codes either with ODB2, or hard-reset by disconnecting 12v fuse or battery for 15 minutes and re-connecting.
Where is the 12v fuse?

Where is the 12v fuse?
I believe the related fuse for 'telematics', which is the TCU and related components is fuse 11 in the passenger -side footwell fusebox. see pg 278 of owners manual

Thanks for the heads up, working with them to get a fix for my car. Stuck at the dealership for the last 30 days ?

I’ve had repeated problems and multiple trips to dealer over the last 6 months with only software updates. I removed the camera cover, adjusted the cable and reset the error codes with car scanner. No issues for the last week after receiving 3 errors on the way home from the dealer with their fix. Hope this is it.

Question does clearing the error codes reduce the frequency of issues? I don’t think so but I’m no expert on how fords system works.

Just got the error for the first time on my 21 Mach E select, frustrating reading this thread , only 1 tech at the Ford Dealership who deals with it have an appointment scheduled for two weeks :(

Me too. Just today. 2023 Mach e with 4,035 miles. Somehow I knew something would go wrong eventually, just not this soon. At least it still drives (not the “blue screen of death” we’ve all seen on a laptop) …..but this is BOGUS

I had the windshield replaced yesterday (crack due to rock on the highway) and after a few minutes of driving with BueCruise on, I get an alert, Front Camera Fault, Blue Cruise disconnects and another alert pops on: Adaptive Cruise Not Available. Both alerts are gone now, but every time I press the BlueCruise button, the Cruise alert comes on.
None of the assistive systems seem to work anymore: lane keeping, lane departure, BlueCruise and probably emergency break. There are no alerts though, only when I attempt to activate BlueCruise the Adaptive Cruise alert pops up then disappears after a few seconds.

I followed the instructions posted here (Thank you!) and made sure the camera cable is not bent, but there is no change. I didn't disconnect the 12v battery yet - is that step necessary, or fixing the cabling should've made a difference already?
