I am in a similar situation. My car has been at the dealership for 4 days, and they have no idea what is causing the issue. They have given me a Toyota corolla as a loaner car while I pay for a mach e, does not seem right. I have contacted ford customer service, and they have given me a case number, but they will not call back or return emails. Not sure of next steps.
What ended up happening?I'm in same boat now

Since putting in the piece of foam between the wire and the glass, I have had no problems with the error messages. There were certain roads I commute on that would have a big bump that would almost always throw the ACC off and send those error messages. This seems to have fixed these issues. Let's hope they stay away for good.
NICE! Mine is still working great also.

Unfortunately I did not take a picture as it was a first attempt at a fix, but it has worked with no issues.

I used 1/2" packing foam and cut a piece that would be snug behind the camera. (EDIT: Foam behind and in front of the COAX, not camera body).

Then cut a similar piece for the top side to sandwich it in, and put the cover back on. I have not removed the cover since.

Update: I'm now up to 34k miles (4k with foam) and BC still working without camera faults.

For those who have had the fault, how many of you use the sunglasses holder?
FWIW the problem is the coax cable for the front camera. Theres an ssm for it now. Your dealer needs to replace it

Popping the trim piece off was simple... Padded with foam and we'll see. Quite a few hot days left here so I'll try and report back. Decided to do this simple solution since more handling would be done at dealer...

For those who popped off the trim and their cable seemed seated correctly, did you still have to take it to the dealer for full coax replacement? Has anyone had it fixed with just software?

I’ve been dealing with this fault since April 2022 (Job 1) before windshield replacement and am under warranty. This will be my third visit for this issue. The dealer that already tried to fix this twice says they don’t have any loaners and there’s a huge waiting list and another dealer said they won’t even provide me with a loaner (even with a TSB out there). Does @Ford Motor Company help dealers arrange loaners?

Down at the other end by Philly :(
ok, I would have recommended my dealer who seems to be on top of things,

good luck

ford dealers dont generally offer loaners although I was able to get one in Florida, lucky I guess but try calling the BEV team and try to wrangle one from corporate . It might work

Hmm, I didn’t realize a loaner wasn’t common. The last two times I dropped it off during vacations so I wasn’t sure what to expect. What a pain.

ETA: Ford already provided me with an extended Protect PremiumCare Warranty for my troubles. I’ll look to see if that covers a loaner.

With non-luxury brands, it is pretty common for loaners to not be available. With all the past car price craziness, lots of dealers were selling their loaners to make crazy cash and made it even more difficult to get one. I believe premium care covers loaners but Ford corp can also authorize you to get a rental and they’ll reimburse you, though you have to be wary as others here were told they’d get reimbursed for a loaner and then got denied when submitting the receipt.

For some people, the software fix works, others need the replacement even if the cable looks fine. You can post in that FDRS lookup thread and they can check what updates you have and what you had done at past visits, if you ask what you’re after.
