You would think this trend would cause ford to get ahead of a lemon status case. I mean spend a couple grand so you don't lose 50 grand.
Got it back after the 3rd time. Said they replaced the harness this time. So far so good after 3 days.

If you don't mind me asking, what did they replace the first time and the second time?

The first time they just reprogrammed it. I guess Ford had put out updated software. The second time they replaced the camera.

Mine has been doing this lately. I guess it's time for a dealer visit. Maybe this time I can get them to update the rest of the modules they didn't do last time.

I'm the latest error gang. I dropped off my MME for a week at the service shop and it seems as though the dealership is at a loss. They said that the underlying error codes that they received went well beyond the pre-collision sensor message and says it is a "tedious process" investigating each one. Since they won't allow loaner cars to leave the state, I had to retrieve my car so that I can travel for the holidays. I guess I'll send it back so that they can sit and wonder for another week after Thanksgiving is over. **Sigh**

Did you show them the TSB on the first post of this thread? That is the fix for IPMA U3000 49, which is the (current) error code pertaining to your Pre-Collision fault.

No, I didn't see this particular thread until today. I sent them some screenshots from a different thread about wiggling the coax cable to create slack. I don't think they attempted to try it because they got freaked out about the number and type of sub-messages. ("We think it goes well beyond the coax cable")

So far so good here. I had TSB 23-2155 completed on November 8 with the new coax wiring, and now after 30 days have not seen the errors once. Was previously getting the 2 alternating error messages a couple of times per month. (2021 First Edition)

I'm scheduled for the repair of the coax cable this wednesday. Went twice to the dealer before for the same issue (it was a slight annoyance before, i was getting a brief pop up every week or so), and i had to get in touch with the service director for them to do something about it. I actually emailed him a link to the TSB online, and only after that did he confirm that it was the same error code and they would order the parts.

That was all before it became a permanent thing as of 2 weeks ago. The error code is just not going away anymore, pops up right when i power the car and never disappears. I guess they would have been forced to do something anyway now that it just won't go away and i effectively lost cruise control completely! Really looking forward to that repair. I'll have another 5 months of warranty post repair, so i hope that'll be enough to uncover any further problems with this.

I got my '21 Job 1 MME back from the dealership after a second service trip to address the front camera/pre-collision errors. During the first visit, dealership did a bunch of updates and replaced the coaxial cables as noted in the TSB. Picked up car, but the errors came back (about 1x a day instead of constant errors). During this second visit, the front camera was replaced. So far so good, but it's only been 2 days. I was surprised when I picked up my car though as it threw a different error "reverse brake assist not available", but the tech said it will clear itself after I drive it a bit, and it did clear. Fingers crossed that this is the end of the issues.

Yes I had the Reverse Brake Assist Not Available error after my coax repair too, but thankfully it cleared after 2-3 days. Later it came back for a short while, but went away. Weird how it is kind of self-healing.

I have my car there now trying to fix this problem, I sent the TSB to them but the rep is claiming they won't even look at it, so really don't know if they are replacing the right part.

They claim now that they are waiting for an OTA for the module ( my car has never received any OTA since I got it almost 2 years ago), but rep is claiming that the weather here in the northeast is preventing ir from coming thru and hopefully it will by the end of the week.

Is there any truth to this? And can a ford rep here help push it thru?

My car, 2021 Job 1, has gotten OTAs over the past 2+ (almost 3) years. I am in CA, but it doesn't sound right that owners in the NE don't get them simply because of the location. Cell network is everywhere. Is the car connected to your WiFi at home?

Dealership service department is supposed to look at TSBs. My dealership didn't complain a bit when I told them about the TSB. They even looked for additional TSBs for me.

As for the fixes (both coaxial cable and camera), they seemed to do the trick. No more errors for a month now.

Honestly it has been extremely frustrateing to even get to this point, as this is the 3rd time the car has been brought in, and telling me that the update only comes OTA and weather is causing an issue sounde like a made up excuse.

Car has always been connected to phone cellular and home wifi, so I have no idea why it never receives any updates.

Exact quote rep gave me for the delay was "module for 360 view isnt programming due to weather (it's over the air updates)"

I'm sorry... WEATHER is preventing an OTA from coming through??

Please for heaven sake take it to a dealership that knows ANYTHING about how things work... OMG.

And take it to a dealer that will listen to you and read the TSB... gotta push them hard sometimes
