I mentioned the TSB to my local dealer when I brought it in for this issue in May. Was told they will check it out. After checking it out they tell me they are going to replace a module. I again mention the coaxial cable being replaced per TSB. They state the technician said the cable was inspected and looks good. Me, knowing many owners on here saying the issue wasn’t fully fixed until the cable was replaced, again insisted to replace the cable per TSB. I was ignored. Took them over a week to get part and give my car back “fixed”. Nearly half way home (10 min drive) the errors/camera fault returns. I’ll be taking it back within a week now that life has gotten less busy. And I don’t want to be the guy that acts like he “knows it all” because I don’t. I just want my vehicle fixed so I can have the safety and driving features available without regular error/interruption.
Hi KD! I can look into your Mach-E's error message concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?

@Ford Motor Company: After 64 pages of messages in this thread from dozens of people who have experienced this same problem, you finally jump in with a “send me your VIN” response??? This is a major recurring problem for many people. It is a SAFETY issue because it disables pre-collision assist and a drivability issue because it disables adaptive cruise control and Blue Cruise, which I and many others have paid a lot of money for in annual subscription fees. When will Ford issue a recall???

Dealing with this right now. I noticed the issue at 34k miles. Noted the issue in the Ford Pass app and called the dealer. The dealer's "EV guy" was on vacation and not available until this week, but the time I brought it in it's at 37k miles, but I just assumed it would be covered. I am also having issues with the bluecruise that pre-date the camera issue and I even called support to deal with it and were told that "a software update next week will fix it." No update ever came and the camera issue started happening more often.

When I brought it in the service advisor told me that it was out of warranty and I explained about the problem being documented before the 36k. He said that he'd look into but it wouldn't matter and I'd be charged a $200 diag fee for them looking at the car.

I went online and bought the extended warranty. Since the vehicle was over 36k, but under 41k, there was no inspection, so no specific issues documented as "pre-existing conditions". Later that day the dealer sent over the issue and it was $3400 to fix.

The next day I called Ford customer support to ask if the dealer had it right, and reiterated that the problem happened well before the B2B warranty expired, and that I have proof in the FordPass App, and that this was a wide spread problem. The said they'd look into it and when they called me back they agreed with the dealer, but they did agree to help me out with the $3k repair and would lower the cost down to about $1k. I haven't brought up the warranty yet, but I'm not even sure it wouldn't matter.

I guess I will report the issue to the NHTSA and hope that they eventually do a recall and I'd get my money back. Or I can live with the issue for a bit and try to bring it to another dealer in a month and see if they will honor the warranty.

Count me in this group as well. I have a 8/100k ESP but it's going to have to really start pissing me off before I hand the car over for another unknown amount of time. Most of the time it's triggering a "lost connection to IPMA" or the IPMA error triggers the others. Not sure.

The cox cable on mine was replaced, though it didn't give me the error message, from the central screen I can tell: the vehicle at the front of me randomly disappeared and my car accelerate immediately. I have to step the break to disengage Blue cruise .

Mine is out of warranty, so I can't use the blue cruise or ACC. very bad.

I also have started having this happen and had it occur once while using BlueCruise. It completely disables everything related to BlueCruise/Adaptive Cruise the instant you get the error. If you weren't to take over immediately it could be a disaster and is a definite safety issue since it disables safety systems. I reported to the NHTSA. Hopefully they force a recall.

So since this is a huge thread maybe someone can help me out. I'm having the same issue. Obviously. And it's at the dealer now. And they say it's the cable and want 6k to fix this. And want me to pay 2 grand to do dealer mandatory updates. What's the deal

You need to find a different dealer. Here’s the estimate for the repair from my dealer in Austin. I declined. I’m hoping for a recall.

And people called me silly for buying an ESP for this car.
"it's electric, what could go wrong"

Yeah, this is definitely a big issue. I picked up a certified 21 CR1 on July 5th, and not even a month of owning it I was greeted with the wonderful “front camera fault.”

First time taking it to the dealer, they said my car needed software updates, and it was going to cost me $600. I was 2 1/2 weeks in of owning the vehicle. Absolutely not. Spoke with the sales manager who sold me the car and he said they’d take care of it. Cool. Problem is “fixed,” except it wasn’t. Not even a week later, it’s happening again.

I take it back to the dealership, attach a copy of the TSB with my keys, and they said they’ll need my car for a few days. I dropped it off Sunday night, and just got called today (Friday). They said they figured it out, and it was one of the bumper sensors, but they don’t have one so they need to order it and keep my car for a few days. My car has been in the dealership going on over 10 days now. Insane.

I’m really hoping Ford issues an official recall because this is an actual safety related issue. Oh well… good thing I Kept my Focus RS and didn’t trade it in.

I recently had this fixed and I printed and brought the TSB with me. They put it with the paperwork for the tech to review it. When I picked it up (it was about 11 days waiting for a part) they listed out each step in the TSB that they completed. So far so good.

I have dealt with this issue alot over the last 20k. It has been to the dealer a few times, every time I am telling them about this sensor issue popping up. Last time, they had it for nearly 2 weeks and said they couldn't duplicate it. Literally pops up all the time when driving it though. Like in a 50 mile span, I am seeing it probably 15 to 20 times. So how it never popped up for them is beyond me. Cruise control is no longer working most the time. It sometimes won't even let me set it, and sometimes it will work for a few miles but once I go over a bump, the cruise control will just stop working.

Super frustrating.

Oh for Pete’s sake @Ford Motor Company. This is page 64 of people complaining about this issue we’re all having. When is Ford going to issue a recall for this problem?

I'm having this issue. Thanks for linking the TSB. I sent it to my service advisor.
