wow, good job!
explains why the dealers charge $2800 to replace.... probably $200 in matls, and the rest is labor!
They say parts are $1800 and I checked this processor seems to be ~$1500+ even on ebay. What I just question if processor is needed or is this only a cable kinked/damaged somewhere on the way. I would do this check myself but looks like tearing off multiple trims on the way might be to difficult for me to do it and put back together. I had a lot of problems with A trim alone.

That is ridiculous. I think I would just do without the front camera and leave it broken. The adjustable cruise control is nice, but not that nice

18 months into my '23 Job 1 and I have this issue!

Started out once a month then once a week.
Now it's twice or more a day.

Trying to locate a So Cal dealer that knows about this issue and will fix this issue.

Seems like service depts are avoiding this issue when I mention TSB 23-2155....

Mach E 2021
Thought I'd add my frustration. I was a long time Chevy owner but fell in love with the 2021 Mach E and made the switch. So, this is my first Ford car and I am appalled or maybe a better word is frustrated with this issue. I took it to the dealership and showed them the printout of this forum along with the TSB. They said they can't replace the cable without first updating the software. So they charged me $1200 to do the updates. About a week went by and then the error started again. It has gotten more and more frequent to the point where I cannot use my cruise control. Of course, the car is now out of warranty and even though this is something I think the manufacturer should cover (this is not caused by normal wear and tear or accident it literally is a manufacturing issue) I was told it will cost me $900 to have the cable replaced. I have to do it since I essentially can't use the cruise control anymore. I wish I could get rid of the car at this point but I can't even sell it since Ford dropped the price of the vehicle. Essentially I got the pleasure of being screwed twice (or really three times). Thank you Ford.

Well, be careful. They told me that the processor has also to be replaced, part alone costs $1,500.

I know. I'm painfully aware how they keep "requiring" different costly work when most of the people in this thread have said having the cable replaced fixed the problem. At this point they have told me they will replace the cable, but I will have to see happens once I bring it in. Why won't Ford help us with what is clearly an issue!?!?

I forgot to add that the error started showing up after I hit 40,000 miles. So of course no warranty coverage.

Ok, I followed an advice of someone from the forum and I called Customer Service. After 2 weeks of discussions and checking they decided to cover about 2/3 of the costs (probably all parts costs) and I had to pay for the rest and taxes.
I guess they are willing to do it because of potential recall coming.

Ford service warranty covered the TSB-23-2155 but after a couple of weeks, started getting the Adaptive Cruise control malfunction warning.

Is this related to TSB 23-2155 ??

Computer and screen should be covered by the long-term warrantees, they are essential parts of the drive train these days. A car without one really is a brick. I wouldn't object to a small monthly charge.

2021 Mach-E First Edition
@Ford Motor Company

I own a 2021 Mach-E and have been experiencing the same issue that initially appeared intermittently. I brought it to the dealership’s attention, but they said there was no problem at the time. Unfortunately, the issue has now become permanent. I returned to the dealership (Autonation Ford in Margate, FL), and despite having the Extra Care EV extended warranty, I faced resistance from the service team.

I informed them about TSB 23-2155, but they insisted the module needed to be reprogrammed first. They estimated this would take up to four hours and cost me between $380 and $780, claiming it wasn’t covered under the warranty. They assured me that reprogramming should resolve the issue. Despite my concerns, I authorized the reprogramming.

Later, I received a call stating they were unable to reprogram the module because it was faulty and needed to be replaced—at a cost of $3,000, again claiming this wasn’t covered under the warranty. I firmly insisted they contact Ford Motor Company to get the repair covered under my warranty, as this is clearly a known issue. I also referenced posts from this community and reported the safety hazard to the NHTSA.

As a home health nurse, my vehicle is critical for my work, and I refuse to pay out-of-pocket for an issue that should be covered. I am extremely frustrated and would greatly appreciate any advice on how to proceed further. Thank you in advance for your help.

I have been getting these errors a lot recently. Driving on the highway and they pop up then go away within 3 minutes. Should I have this checked out? I figured the dealer would want the car to be displaying the error message when I take it in, but it fixes itself after 3 to 5 mins of driving.

****UPDATE****
The fix is to get the coaxial cable replaced by the dealer. Theres is a TSB out for it now.

****UPDATE****
I had the same issues and the TSB repair completed. The TSB fixed the problem. As an added bonus, and I have no idea if these problems were connected, but my wipers never worked properly on auto mode. I had the dealer check it when I first got the 2021 Mach E in February 2022 but they said they were operating as they should. In NY we finally had rain yesterday and it was the first time I used my wipers since the TSB for the camera was done last month, and the auto wipers, after almost 3 years, worked perfectly....

I was quoted $2800 at dealership to fix this issue, they said main part of the cost is a processor that must be replaced (my issue is permanent now, no intermitted). Would you agree with it?
My fix included replacement of the cable and replacement of the IPMA. Fortunately it only cost me $100, since I got the extended warranty, which paid for itself with just this issue.

Thank you so much for this update. What dealership did you use?

I just pulled my car from the dealership, and bringing it to another dealership where I actually purchased my Mach E from, It’s a little further because the service department where I originally brought it is trying to say it’s not under warranty and they wanted to replace a parking assist module (which I told them won’t work and to follow the TSB they refused to) and want charge me almost $3000 saying that my extended warranty won’t cover it. I am bringing all of everyone’s posts as well as the TSB with me to the new dealership next week. And hopefully get this fixed.
