Front Fender Flares - Quality Issue?

My GTPE front fenders show slight, but annoying separation. I have attached a couple photos, one of each side.
I ask if any other owner has had similar issues?

Ehh. I hate to ask, but have you taken it through an automatic car wash? The top pic looks like a stress crack, bottom looks like rubbing the paint off. The top pic doesn't make sense to be a casting crack as it's not following a reasonably straight line. Dealers run them through autowashes when in for service.

Nope, always hand washed.

If you push on the side of the flare does that crack open up? (Heads out to look for cracks in mine)
edit: my prem's black ones don't have anything, though I wonder if Ford paints these and the paint might not have adhered perfectly.
