Front grill cracked

I just saw that my front grill has a crack. Any suggestions on how to fix this or anyone have to deal with it? I know that I may have to replace the whole grill bu

I’d like to add my two cents and my frustration with having experienced the same damage on my 2024 GT. I also just noticed a serious crack in my grill. I have no idea when it happened, just noticed it when the sunlight oddly flashed on the crack, and brought my attention to it. Is this going to be an ongoing problem with the current design which incorporates a hard plastic outer grill covering? Having a small dense piece of loose concrete, or a rock, or even a small heavy piece of metal hit that plastic at 70mph is highly likely to cause this damage. With the condition of highways these days, the trucks and large vehicles that use them are notorious for kicking up or dropping debris that your windshield and entire front end is forced to deal with. That's the only thing that explains my crack. Although, I guess the damage might have been caused in a parking lot if a vehicle with a high bumber backed into my bumperless front end. In any case, shouldn’t Ford agree to remedy this design flaw with full grill replacement when this happens? And while we’re at it, I think it would be smart for Ford to work on a better grill material that won’t crack when stressed. I can think of other attractive materials that would fare much better.

I don't think ppf will help when going 80mph and a rock hits the grill

That crack looks like it started from the bottom then worked it's way up

Agreed, frustrating. Doubt PPF will prevent things like this, especially in the second scenario. Pretty sure this happened to me in a previous vehicle and I only noticed one day when the license plate was bent in and deformed from someone pulling/backing into the front... (I sure as hell didn't pull into anything). Can only avoid with "defensive parking" for so long until you eventually have no choice but to park where others may do this and just driving down the road you can't avoid random rocks...

That’s exactly what it does. Can you find a rock that is large, fast, or sharp enough to penetrate it? Maybe. But it will stop 99% of them.

And those that it wont keep from penetrating entirely, it disperse enough of the impact to prevent the cracking.
