I'm pondering where I will be locating a similar/same jump-post in a location not requiring lifting the hood. How weatherproof do you feel that enclosure would be to splashing and rain?

And I'm assuming it could be altered with some kind of effort to improve the weatherproofing if necessary?

If I can succeed at the endeavor, then the LV battery failure won't threaten to inhibit door entry, is my thinking.
It’s weather resistant, but not waterproof. I spent a long time thinking on where would be a safe place to put the jump point. I came up with nowhere on the exterior, other than under the car. That’s not a place I want to be jumping the car from. But that’s just me. ?‍♂?

Yeah, the coolant bottles were both removed and replaced with a single bigger one in 2023 Job 2, I think. There are some other changes too. ??

The liquid ABS finally more or less cured around my threaded inserts, so I got the beauty panels and jump point back in. ??

Problem with this is that you mounted it to the cover, which now makes the cover tehtered and a service tech may rip the wires out removing it. I would mount it some other way so the cover can be removed with this still in place.

There is a forklift connector mounted to the jump point. It’s a simple matter of pulling the forklift connector apart to remove or connecting the two halves of the forklift connector together to install. I have pulled all of the beauty panels and the frunk tub in less than three minutes. 🤷‍♂️🐩
