Today I moved the frunk from my 2021 to my 2022, because I wanted the option for dividers, and I was doing the mod to access the LVB connection points. I thought that there were enough engineer-types on the forum that might want to see if they could see any differences. Frunks are back together. No more pictures.

2021 was made 5/29/21. 2022 was made 1/19 - 3/1/22...

Maybe not the thread for it, but would be interested in your thoughts on differences between the two since it seems your 2021 and 2022 are identical in trims and options.

Damn Ford really went to town with all those hoses it seems like the engineers weren't talking to each other the only person that benefited was Goodyear or whoever makes all those hoses.

Its hard to tell from the pix, but it does look like less hoses. Which jives with what they said they were going to do.

Think I need to take the tub out to drill the LVB access points, or can I get by with just doing a shallow hole saw drill?

The tub doesn't need to be removed, but you may wish to remove the rear and right (driver) side panels so that you can be certain a) you're drilling exactly where you want to, b) you're not drilling too far, c) you can clean up all the little plastic bits, and d) you can smooth out the holes from both top and bottom. The last one is really important, since the caps you buy might otherwise be too tight and need to be pried off with a screw driver which in turn can mar the panel. (Don't ask me how I know!)

Good luck!

Well, the hose routing definitely looks different for both cars from my GT-PE and from a GT I've seen. 🤷‍♂️🐩

Yup, it is. (This is my 2/3/22-built 2022 GT...)

Several points / answers:

1) There are a lot of hoses because Ford borrowed many of the components from other models if you watch the interview with the head engineer. They knew they were redundant, and could use 2 pumps instead of 4, but it was quicker to market to have 4.

2) Why did I remove the frunk? My 2021 had the compartment organizer, which was put in to get through government red tape, and then not necessary. You cannot buy it. I like it. Yes, I could have tried to drill holes to match up with it, but what's on the other side of the hole? So, you remove the frunk to safely drill the holes. But, that's really the same as removing and swapping, just a bit more bolts, and I don't have to worry about the holes lining up. I will be modding the insert to be able to remove the center panel and make that compartment bigger easily.
