So I'm stuck on Version 1.7 just like everyone else, why is ford not dealing with this. It's frustrating to see everyone else get their updates. Why ford?

FOMO?
Or do you actually have an issue you believe will be corrected with 2.1.0 or 2.3.0?

I would give you mine if I could....I am not using them.

It's coming. It seems like our stuck cars are going to end up requiring a dealer visit to correct this though. I know it's frustrating, but they are 100% working on a fix.

I just took my car into the dealer today for a stuck 1.7.1 update. They had it for maybe 4hrs and I had my car back and running 1.7.1. Wish it was 2.3.0, but at least it updated and I can "hope" the OTA is fixed now and it will continue to update on its own.

Not everyone has 1.7, last update I got was the secure alert lol. Gonna start searching for a 2022 so I can get two fobs and some updated software.

Gonna try searching for one without adm soon.

What did they update. My understanding from this forum is the dealer can't fix this condition at this time and we are all waiting for a fix?

It’s frustrating to not have something you want.

Is there anything specifically in the update you actually want though?

In answer to your question though, Ford is working on it. It’ll be ready when it’s ready. Rushing it through is likely what caused the issue in the first place.

I understood the OP to say they received 1.7.1 but nothing since.

I suppose they could have been trying to say 1.7.1 fails to install completely which would be a problem I guess. Not sure what the owner can do in that case. Take it to the dealership to "unstick" it? Is there a process for that anywhere?

I was able to get another Fob for my Wife’s 2021 but it took some arm twisting! Lol Sometimes I wish we had waited for a 2022 but mainly because of the windshield/ roof recalls!! Still haven’t dealt with that yet!

Yeah, what exactly did they do? Ford has told me that dealers do not yet have the means to update the PowerUp version, so I'm really curious here.

Sounds like they updated the APIM through FDRS to bring Sync to the same version that would have come with Power-Up 1.7.1. Whether that fixed the issue with receiving OTA updates remains to be seen.

Just for giggles, turn off Wi-Fi in the car, and wait about two weeks. Report back if you get any updates. Some of us are speculating the cars are only updating over cellular and if the updates occur when the car is connected to Wi-Fi, something goes wrong.

I agree I have the uninstalled 1.7.1 and there are rumours of 2.3 fixing it or there is a new update to fix the broken 1.7.1. @Ford Motor Company should give some actual news on what should be happening.

This actually seems accurate in my case. Anytime I've been significantly behind in receiving an OTA I will get it once it's out of my garage and away from my home wifi, usually parked somewhere for an hour or two.

Ford's entire software approach for the MME is a disaster. OTA, Paak, BC, FP, bugs and the list goes on. Nice car but the software sucks and Ford is inept.
