Google Maps & NACS Adapter

This morning Google Maps prompted me to specify which adapters I had available for use. I had added the NACS adapter on my phone but was still being warned about routing to Tesla Superchargers. Was relieved to see that the in-car Google Maps will finally, maybe, accept Superchargers as charging locations.

Google Maps EV Routing for Android Auto has an adapter setting, but you need to set it in Android Auto, not in the Google Maps app itself. Google Maps EV Routing has routed to Tesla Superchargers since the feature was launched with Software Update 10.1.0, so if you're not seeing Superchargers in your routes I'd check that setting within Google Maps inside Android Auto.

Ford vehicles have had access to compatible Tesla Superchargers since February 29 of last year. Google Maps EV Routing for Android Auto will filter out the incompatible Superchargers and route only to compatible ones.

FWIW I also got prompted yesterday to choose the adapter. I've had it selected in Google maps on my phone for a while but this was the first time it's given me the option to choose it on Android Auto.

I checked it. You are right.
Maybe it was fixed.
or it was my fault and I just searched 'supercharger' and go to incompatible one.

So which plugs and adapters do I check in google maps? J1772, CCS combo 1, Tesla (I have the Tesla adapter Ford sent me)

An interesting note. There is a TSC at a local casino that I know for a fact is NACS compatible but in Google maps does not show up at all.

There are some Tesla walls (NACS) that dont convert. Be careful on those, Ill admit I added a (Tesla) app. To find Tesla Walls compatible. Ironically, the wall in my town is not compatible.

Assuming that is Google Maps, your menu might be different than mine. From Maps, select your picture, scroll to Settings, then Your Vehicles, choose the three dots next to the Mach E and Edit Vehicle. I can toggle NACS there. You can also do it from the car, when navigating, select the search circle then charging, and then the filter button on the left of three that appears.

I'm in my car now (parked don't worry). If you launch Google Maps via Android Auto and tap the settings cog, there is nowhere in the options to select you have a NACS adapter that I see. It is not under route options.

I too was recently prompted to indicate whether or not I have a NACS adapter just as maps opened. But I cannot, via the in car app, change that setting. Only in the app on my phone.

You have to be navigating while in the car. From the box in the bottom left (with ETA etc) click the round circle.

Then you should see the attached, choose the left filter button, then in the next pop up (no photo) you can choose the plugs, which leads to the other photo you can toggle NACS
