And remind me not to park around these other guys. They seem to get their cars covered in crap all the time. LOL. You must make good parking choices!!This is clearly a "love it" or "hate it" topic ...![]()

Not sure how you can park to specifically avoid things like bugs/birds/dirt lol. Maybe car cover everywhere you go?And remind me not to park around these other guys. They seem to get their cars covered in crap all the time. LOL. You must make good parking choices!!
Yup, very possible they are running several different variations on these test cars to get feedback on themThink I'll hold off any judgement until I actually see, and use one in person.
With little electric ponies, no doubt. They will sell Mustang door handle covers.
This is why I have a question about the door handles on my list of potential questions for the Q&A with the Mach E design team the other site is holding tomorrow night.Yup, very possible they are running several different variations on these test cars to get feedback on them
That's not actually true. Kind of sort of. In normal usage pulling the Model 3 door handle activates a motor that pops open the door. It's possible I guess that there is a mechanical backup in that handle that would actuate the latch if the motor failed. I don't think there is, but I don't really know for sure. There is a mechanical backup inside to open the door if there's an electrical failure.Stickboy46 said:I like the Model 3 design. At first its like WTF .. but now it's natural, maintains the lines of the car, doesn't trap anything and gives you plenty of leverage to open the door. Plus no motor to fail.
I have a one car garage that is packed with crap instead of cars, so my car is always parked outside next to the big beautiful tree the Mrs won't let me get rid of. At work there are pine trees all along the parking lot. I constantly have to clean out the well where the windshield wipers hide, and the seam where my convertible roof meets the car body. I even had to pay $300 2 years ago to have the trap that drains that seam cleaned out because it clogged up and was leaking onto the floor of the back seat. And remind me not to park around these other guys. Yikes! Sounds like @Stickboy46 was right, car cover for everywhere you go.I have a one car garage that is packed with crap instead of cars, so my car is always parked outside next to the big beautiful tree the Mrs won't let me get rid of. Hmm, is the crap in the garage yours? If so, sounds like a standoff between your crap and her tree?I have a one car garage that is packed with crap instead of cars, so my car is always parked outside next to the big beautiful tree the Mrs won't let me get rid of.
Well, actually the tree is helping my cause - it's at least 30 years old, and the roots are starting to make the sidewalk to the front door heaveHmm, is the crap in the garage yours? If so, sounds like a standoff between your crap and her tree?
In that image, it looks like the trough is sloped toward the rear, so at least water will drain out.Yep. Looks like the trough it is. Here's a Carbonized Gray FE being driven around by Ron Heiser. Video at https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/carbonized-gray-mach-e-club.88/post-22276

Certainly not. We all know the itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout. In that image, it looks like the trough is sloped toward the rear, so at least water will drain out.
Spiders, not so much.
