I've wondered about that too. As well as there being any ragged/sharp edges that your fingers may touch just on the inside edge of the door where the sheet metal folds over.I'm not a fan of the back doors not having any type of a handle. I anticipate that people with rings and/or watches will scratch the paint while putting their hands into the door jam to get in the car.
It's also a spot that tends to collect dirt, and doesn't get washed off well from rain or even a car wash.
I'd rather they put the mini handles on the back too. Again, they're so well-hidden that they don't hamper the sleek look at all IMO.
