don't expect waves from strangers. attend and organize meetups in your area, travel to neighbors and you will have more drivers waving you on the road!
So when people on motorcycles wave to each other, they all know each other? Come on. I've gotten plenty of waves from Mach-E owners I don't know. You've never said hello or good morning to someone you don't know?

The person who waves is only your buddy till the car is gone in the mirror. I don't know you, never met you, I don't wave to anyone else with any one mode of transportation either. It's not personal.
You must be fun at parties 😜

Notice the California people all discussing no waves, but there are so many more EVs in Cali, makes sense. In new england we are all tightly bonded by our long cold winters, so we look for any commonality to share!

I think if I waved at other Mach-E owners around here they would think I'm crazy.

I am curious though, how often do you see other Mach-Es when driving around?

My most common trip is to my wife's work and back about 10 miles each way, and I usually see one or two each time.
I always see Mach eS at Electrify America charging stations.

Waving is a motorcycle thing. Or I should say, the two fingers down (keep the wheels on the ground) "wave". Car waving is a bit creepy for me šŸ›µšŸāœŒ
Do you know any Jeep owners?

Back a few years ago I came back to my Mach-e in a parking lot and there was a Mach-e hot wheels sitting on windshield waiting for me. Space white and all.
That's cool! I bought the MACH-e 1400 hot wheels for my wife as she is the primary driver of our MME. Un til then, she did not understand my affinity for Hot Wheels.

Back when I was driving a Corvette, it seemed the Corvette wave was mandatory! I pretty much wave at ever other Mach-E driver I see, but I think I have only gotten one wave back (at least that I saw) in two years. I guess we're not as friendly as we used to be, or maybe we're just all too cool for that these days...
I used to wave at Fastback owners when I had one, and they would mostly wave back. It seems as though with the MME that, since it’s an SUV, there are less Mustang ā€˜enthusiasts’ (present company excluded!) driving those to return the wave. Mostly I get dumb stares in return. But hey, what’s the harm in a random wave or just saying high to any random stranger these days?!šŸ˜€ So thanks to the original poster of this thread for the inspiration to resume the wave! Cause, I don’t want a remote control cyber truck. (The horror!)

There are some crazy mofo's out there. I DO NOT make eye contact or interact with any other drivers in any way for any reason, its just too dangerous. I strongly suggest everyone else follow suit.

Many of y'all have obviously never been to the South. We wave at everything that moves.

If you ever see a Grabber Blue GT with a small black Poodle in it, I’m waving. You probably can’t see my black paws though. 😁🐩
I tell the chauffeur to wave. I can’t be bothered. It interrupts my planning for world domination and/or my nap. Cat rules🐈

Funny, the classification of the Mach-E is a compact crossover SUV, EPA calls it a small station wagon. I think there was a Mustang station wagon concept produced in the 60's. I guess it is who you ask. Oddly enough, Ford just created a Bronco roadster concept that got inspiration from the 1965 Bronco. This was created to be an off-road Mustang! Flattery follows fame. There is probably more relation to Mustang than most think. I own(ed) many Mustangs and back in the day frowned upon 4 and 6 cylinder Mustangs as a V8 owner. That is, until I read that the 4s and 6s were the bread and butter of the brand...and without then the brand dies (aka Camaro in 2002 and more recently). Agreed. So, I'd say, if it has a horse on it, flash a wave.

I agree. Funny, I was going to buy a V8 but when I test drove the ecoboost performance pack with 10 speed (and paddles!) I fell in love. That power plant was plenty of power for me, and why Ford disco’d the V6. I did (and still do) miss that throaty V8 sound though. I also miss the F1 cars’ V10 and V8 sound too, bug that’s another story! Also, it’s my understanding that the ICE Mustang is now based on the Explorer platform. Go figure.

Believe it or not, CAFE is probably the main reason these smaller engines are pumping out the higher numbers. Trying to squeeze out every bit of fuel by making high compression and perfectly timed engines. No sure about what the CAFE penalties are, but may be the reason Ford can sell Mach-e so cheap and offset some of the other big and low MPG vehicles in the line up ( read F series pickups)
