The first time it happened I was on the highway eight hours from home while enjoying my five year anniversary. We were stranded in a town called Peloton for almost a week due to the part being delayed. They ended up towing my car eight hours away to local dealership where I live where the part was eventually replaced, but not the HVBJB. The second time it happened was beginning this year, with my three-year-old in the car, luckily I was in the next town over where I was able to take surface streets to get to the Ford dealership. The third time has happened was just over two weeks ago while driving through Canyon but nowhere to turn off to call for help. I had at travel at 28 miles an hour 15 miles into the nearest town or a car for a tow truck. Again with my three-year-old in backseat. These are REAL safety concerns that have put my family life’s at Risk. But to answer your question the first time it happened they replace whatever caused the high voltage battery failure the second bunch of lame software updates and a third time is when they replaced HVBJB.
Sounds like maybe they should have replaced the HVBJB the first time?

To add to my post: I'm a big believer in first letting the dealer/Ford try to fix the car before slamming the lemon-law hammer down on them. California allows 4 attempts, or a total time of 30-days in the shop, for the lemon law to kick in. You are well beyond letting them trying to do the right thing here.
No, I absolutely agree. I’m not one to just run a sue somebody even though I live in California and it seems to be most peoples hobby around here. lol. The service Director at the Ford dealership asked that I give Ford customer relationships a call and allow them to do the right thing before I hired an attorney. Which I did I made a total of five phone calls sent for emails and still I have not heard anything back regarding potentially buying back to vehicle.
