not liking the horn on my Mach-E. has anyone installed anything like the below?

https://motohorn.com/dt-liquid/
What don't you like about the horn? The tone, volume?

Some info on the OEM horns:

The service manual instructs you to remove the entire bumper cover to access the horns but you can get to them by removing the front section of the fender splash shield. They are buried up in there but it is doable. Taking the front bumper cover off though is easy.

If you wanted to just stop the horns from working, you could remove Fuse #37 as that circuit is only for the horns. However it is under the frunk tub so you would have to remove all the trim panels and frunk tub to get to it (only takes a couple of minutes).

Left side is the low pitch horn and right side is the high pitch horn.

The Anti-Theft horn is a separate horn and has an internal backup battery. It is on the left side behind the fender splash shield (closer to the firewall) and can be accessed by removing the rear section of the splash shield.

Photos of OEM horn locations ?

I know it’s off topic, but you seem to have a great assistant there!

But they couldn't add an internal backup battery to the driver-side door opener in case the LVB dies and the car was locked? ??????

Volume mainly! But after looking at this information guess I’m just gonna stick with what’s already there. Not gonna even tackle the idea of removing front bumper just to get to the oem horns

Riley is always inspecting my work, making sure things are going as planned. When she's not, my black carpeted floor mats are the only things she like laying on (she sheds so much). ?

The OEM horns sit right above white padded sound insulation that is attached to the fender splash shields. They point down right at that sound insulation. You could pull down the splash shield and remove the insulation in that area and I bet the horn would be a little louder.

Volume? This may be a silly question/observation, but aren’t horns SUPPOSED to be loud to attract attention? Aren’t horns only supposed to be used as a last resort? ?‍♂

I'm sorry, but black floor mats or not, you can't be mad at that face. She looks like a great assistant.

I really miss my yellow lab. :crying:

I'm thinking the OP wants a louder sounding horn than what we have now ?
