How much ADM markup is too much ?

Except you can't sell for 6 months since you bought with A/Z.

I also don't think I would consider that until 2022 anyways and I would need to find a GT model I wanted, etc... so it would be over 6 months.

So I've got a Mach E ordered and best case scenario it'll be here in January/February. I really wanted the Infinite Blue that got discontinued. I honestly wasn't even going to get a new car until the transmission blew up in my daily driver on a road trip a few weeks ago. So obviously I missed out on the infinite blue. In the meantime, I've been haunting dealers websites looking for an infinite blue to come available.

Lo and behold- I found one and the buyer dropped out (supposedly). The dealership has a $3000 markup on the car. Doing the math, the markup over what MY ordered car with the extra paint and interior package would be, is actually $2300 higher than MY car would be that is ordered.

How much markup is too much for the color that you really want?

Just noticed- the sticker I'm looking at doesn't list Blue Cruise- My car's base price was $600 higher, I assume for Blue Cruise.

I paid an extra $2700 to avoid the wait and get my Infinite Blue. I also ended up buying more car than I originally intended, with the AWD and Tech Package. Soo glad that I got those options, though, as I really love them! If you need justification, how long will it take to get your ordered one, and how much will you spend on gasoline while you wait? If you wait 5 minutes, that car may be gone.

Our Premium AWD MME is in Infinite Blue. It's a real nice color! I waited 6 months after ordering it in February 2021. I didn't try to find it on a dealer's lot because in CT there were no charging stations. I had x-plan pin which prohibits ADM and caps fees at $100..

I would have paid $2500 ADM in a minute, but the dealers I was talking to wanted $5k to $10k. It also bugged me that my dealer would not "trade" me. My car is probably going to be here in November or December (Production 10/11), but they wanted me to pay $5k extra for the exact model at the end of August. I told them they were trying to make two ADM mark-ups on me. Get me to pay one now, then sell my car in November with another markup. Not cool!

It's all in what you want. My first Mustang that I bought I didn't get the GT as had enough money to buy the base with options (Pony Package, etc). This time around and different financial standpoint, I was going to get what I want or not do it. If IB is your thing, than wait it out as will be annoyed always wondering how you felt.
