I'm moving halfway across the country and am needing to move by 2022 Mach e via car trailer. The last time I did this, the alarm kept on going off because it thought it was being stolen and by the time I made it to my destination halfway across the country it had a dead battery. How can I tell it that it's not being stolen once I get it on the trailer?

I’d probably disconnect the 12V battery.

Yeah that's the battery that ended up dying the last time I did it. I just didn't want to take off all of the plastic paneling.

One time I had my car towed on a flatbed and I rode in the cab. When the alarm went off right away, I hit the unlock button to stop it and it stayed off for the duration of the tow. It was about 5 miles, 10 minutes. I have no idea if it would have stayed off or not.

Any idea how to address this issue for multi-day auto transport? I’m in the process of setting up transport from the Midwest to CA, and the car hauler will have my Mach-e for at least three days. Aside from disconnecting the 12v, are there any settings that can be used to disable the alarm?

You could just leave it unlocked on the trailer. Or, if it must be locked, you need to turn off the inclination motion sensors during transport:

Disable inclination alarm:

-With vehicle ON,
-Turn off motion sensors in settings > alarm system
-Press the X button in the upper left to close and save
-Turn off vehicle and exit
-Press lock on key fob (move fob away from vehicle)

NOTE: Motion sensors are only disabled until the next key cycle. They cannot be permanently disabled. If the vehicle is turned on (or unlocked and re-locked), they will need to be disabled again.

NOTE: Inclination sensor can only be disabled from the settings menu. The prompt on exit will only disable interior motion ultrasonic sensors, not inclination.

If you want to re-enable the alarm when you park for the night, you'll have to turn the car on, then off and lock it without disabling the sensors.

Fuse 12 in the passenger footwell is for the alarm. FYI, It will also disable the driver door action.

I would also assume tow mode would disable the alarm.

I left it unlocked with the key in the cup holder. When stopped for the night I removed the key and locked it. I was pulling it behind my motorhome.
