I have been looking for the CarScanner sensor abbreviations and what they represent for customizing and making your own dashboard screens. Does anyone know of a place where I can find what they mean?

try poking around
https://www.carscanner.info/

the ones I find most useful are:
DCLVA - LVB DCDC LV Current - LV amps output from DCDC
Energy - HBV Energy to Empty - in kWhr
HV EV Battery Power - in kW, range about -100 to+200
HvbT - HVB Temperature
ChgDCT - DCFC Port Temp

I've already tried looking though that link and didn't find what I was looking for. I can figure out what most of the sensor abbreviations are by using them and seeing the data, but there are couple that I'm not sure of.

I always get zero for this one.
I do as well. And this is one I really wanted to see. I have a 2023 ER RWD.
Anyone know why this seems to work for some and not others?

my best guess is that your ODB2 format is not exactly right for CarScanner. I have had not problems with the $25 Viecar one recommended on the CarScanner site.

My vLinker FS Bluetooth is on the list of adapters to buy at carscanner.info. I sent a message to the app author, supplied some sample data, and am waiting to hear back.

if you open carScanner app, have you set up the MME as a car in your 'profile'? ie. the little garage icon on the left should have at least one vehicle set up as 'your car'. If not, click on + and add the MME profile.

Then, (still NOT connected), click on 'Settings' to verify you are set up for MME. you should see:
adaptor OBDII ELM327
Connection Profile = Ford Mustang Mach-e
and other settings
fuel consumption
+ record fuel consumption only when displayed
+ Electric Vehicle / No fuel
under 'Sensors', scroll way way down and you should see
HV EV Battery Power
id=801,priority 1/1,units kW,role:EV_BatteryPower

then, back out to main screen, and
click on 'demo' mode, and 'last used car', which should set up sensor data available. to match MME

click on 'all sensors', and scroll down, just below 'Fuel used price' you should see
'HV EV Battery Power'

do you?

Yes, after verifying my setup, in demo mode I see HV EV Battery Power with fluctuating numbers.

ok, so when you exit demo,
go to your car,
plug in ODB2,
turn car on,
open car scanner,
'connect'

and click 'All Sensors' icon,
scroll down to 'HV EV Battery Power'

what shows ?
...should be something like .25 kW just sitting 'on',
and jump up if you turn heat/ac on

At first, it looked as though I was stuck at 0kW, but I tapped it to view a chart and saw that it actually fluctuated roughly +/- 0.01kW. I added EV Current and Primary Motor Torque to show that the car truly is driving. The EV Power curve has the correct rough shape, matching the Current curve, but off by a factor of 1000 or so.

rather than these recorded charts.... try the live 'sensor' list, or create a dashboard dial. maybe the difference/bug is in the recording section (which I never use).

I started with a dashboard dial, but my range for EV Power was normal (-100kW to 100kW), so I saw it only as 0 at all times. Ditto for the sensor list. Clicking through the sensor list showed the chart. The chart is not the data recorder (which I haven't played with yet). The sensor list charts scroll in real time; I used a screen capture app to grab the charts.

I took one of the dashboard layouts and changed the EV Power scale from [-100, 100] to [-0.1, 0.1] and took the car out for a spin. Notice the torque and speed. And the power appears to be 0.02 kW.

looks to me like your units for power are off by a factor of 1000. You might want to reset CarScanner settings to 'default', and go back through your settings.... particularly the units.

steady state power at 50 mph on a small incline probably *should* be right around 20 kW
