Well. I received my 3rd fob today. I followed the procedure and…………..fhfhfiejnfjfjfk.
Sorry I am far away from anyone as I am on the coast of Maine.

Anyway, it worked! $38.00 and free shipping and it worked perfectly. Read the entire procedure and make sure it’s less than 30 total seconds. Keep the times as short as possible. Have two dealer or factory programmed fobs. If you see the factory key pad code, it worked.

Clarification: I had my OEM fob and an additional programmed at the dealer. You need two in order to program a third yourself.

Happy 4th to you all……Norm

Any of these fobs not retro 80's in size?
IKR? The pony on the back looks neat but I'd gladly give that up for a mini fob that takes up 1/3rd the space in my pocket.

Anyone know if the small square style fob would work?

I purchased one of these and it did NOT work for me using the instructions in Post 10 of this thread.

I will have to inquire about returning it.
I had to do it 3 times. You have to be fast. The whole procedure has a time limit. If you run over the time, just do it again. I did the 5 seconds per the time to start and it was too slow. Speed it up 3-4 seconds and try again. It worked for me with the ebay now $32.00 fob.

Yes, that's the exact fob I bought: 384165438234 (using the link in your post).

I am hoping perhaps I am misunderstanding the instructions. They refer to "smart keys" numerous times, but in Step 1, it says "place the intelligent access key into the backup slot".
Step 2 then says "place the smart key into the backup slot".
I figured these were the same step, just in the instructions twice for some reason, and the intelligent access key and smart key were the same thing.

Am I missing something?

The instructions say to wait five seconds between pushing the start button. I attempted programming the key 9 or 10 times, waiting five seconds as instructed, and also doing the steps as quickly as possible without waiting - unsuccessful every time.

(Also, I noted the eBay seller said this fob was not compatible, but since you had success, I went ahead and got it.)

Yes that Fob worked fine for me. Try 3 second rather than 5 between steps. You should see the "door access code " appear on the dash during or right after the second fob insertion. If you do not, you are too slow and need to go faster and that is why the procedure failed. There is an overall time limit of 30 seconds.

Ford Mustang Mach-E I now have 2 programmed Fobs. Can I program my Own for additional? 1626286845391

Please keep me posted on your programming, hopefully you see the door code and you are just one button press away!

Keep in mind that you can only have 4 fobs paired to the vehicle, so you may want to wait until fobs with a frunk button are released in the US. I don’t think you can remove paired fobs to add more without a trip to the dealer.

So I have the factory FOB and an unprogrammed FOB I purchased from Car & Truck Remotes which I'd like to program.

The instructions suggest that you need 2 already programmed remotes in order to program a 3rd. But @Nklem may be saying that he was able to program a new remote using just the factory FOB. Is that correct?

Thanks!

Correct. You need two factory or dealer programmed fobs to program the third yourself, with this procedure.
