This is not a diss of the Corvette.

But I see no resemblance in the Ford GT. None. Zero.

One is pure artistry and a faithful reflection of cherished history.

The other looks like a corvette :)
Sorry, I guess there was a miscommunication. This is what I’m talking about. I do see Similarities I’m sorry maybe my brain doesn’t focus the same way as everybody else’s?

Jerry, some of the best trade in values you can get come from dealers with an online presence where you don’t need to take the car in to get a quote. I recommend you try Driveway and Autonation, I have had the best values from those two.

If you like changing vehicles often, consider lightly used pre-owned vehicles as well. Any new car sold after a year or two is going to give you financial heartburn.

If you like EVs, you can use what you are experiencing with the Mach-E to your benefit - used EV values across all brands are down significantly.
And Honda just texted me back that they’d offer me 30,000 which is a good offer considering I didn’t buy the car from them but I told them you know what I just realized even the new EV they have coming. It’s not a plug-in hybrid I told them I don’t even believe you have a plug-in hybrid even being built or available in the United States and he said yeah we don’t have any so I said well I don’t want a hybrid and I don’t want a straight EV. I already have one so I’m done with Honda.

I’ve Bought several cars from Carvana especially to Mustang and I mean one was a 19 GT with the performance package 6 feet on the floor with 14,000 miles. I got that vehicle for $31,000 and it did not have a mark on it and whoever had it also added some some stuff and that was an excellent car and I took it to Nissan because the wife didn’t care for me having two cars and I didn’t even buy a Nissan and Nissan gave me 35 for the car so that was probably the best deal I’ve ever done done.

It's probably that beloved history (I'm old enough) that's burned into my mind. In that context, there's a huge disconnect between those two images. More contrast than similarity.

Admittedly, without that historical mental real estate, I can see how the similarities might increase. But it hurts just imagining the racing history void it would require. :)

The $2,000 you spent is a sunk cost. No one likes to waste money but sometimes you have to let things like that go for future decisions. I would set that aside and make a vehicle decision that is whatever suits you!

I had a 2022 Toyota plug in hybrid before getting my Mach E. Nice car and over 50mpg, but since there are plenty of free chargers in my area I went back to all electric car.

To me, they just have that Enzo Ferrari front end look I don’t know. They just look alike to me not the Corvette now I’m talking about the brand new C8. They’ve almost got the same front end that’s me lol no big deal. If they wanted to give me either one of those I would take it!

And the EA stations in GULFPORT are still down. I went there today. Just got off the phone with Electrify America. They have no answer why they’re still down although they are lit up and say unavailable so if you’re coming this way, they’re probably still not gonna be open for a while. That’s a good time to have a plug-in hybrid lol

So the fact that I have 6000 miles on my 23 GT in excellent condition and everything is working on it plus I’ve added a few things to it. I figured even though I owe 32,000 on it 0% loan, I thought for sure I could get it paid off, but went to the dealer that I bought the car from to look at a $42,000 plug-in escape oh my God anyways the best they’ll do is 30 and so I looked at Carvana, Carvana will give me 36,200 and if I did a trade-in through Carvana, they would give me 39,000 and some change. so Mitsubishi has some pretty good looking plans out there and that outlander plug-in hybrid it’s a pretty good looking car and has some nice options. I went and looked at it, very comfortable and they had a lot of different incentives and everything but the best they would do was 16,000 trade and I’m like I almost fell over. And their excuse was they’ve got these mustangs over in another state like mine just sitting there on the lot $20,000 and I said well I haven’t seen any at that price and I said to offer me 16 is just absolutely Ludacris. So I guess what I’m gonna do is just hang onto my car, pay off, not ahead of time just keep making payments and deal with anything that comes up if it fails at all, which I’m hoping it doesn’t, kind of why I was wanting to go with plug-in hybrid to maybe move to something more maybe not reliable but maybe wouldn’t have as many issues as the Mustang, not mine now, but many others out here on the forum. So I’m hanging onto it.
Not worth it to downgrade. There's more items you'll have to do maintenance on. I'm on my third plug in hybrid and will change it to an EV in a few years.

Thank you yes I’m holding. I’m not gonna go with that plug-in.

This reminds me of my first EA charging experience back in August of 21 shortly after we bought the MachE. We were on our way up to Panama City and stopped to charge at the EA in Gainesville, Fl. They had 4 stations and none of them were working! I made it to the next EA in Lake City and charged there, then charged again at the EA in Tallahassee. Before heading back home I charged at the Harley Dealer in Panama City Beach and headed to the next EA in Chipley FL off of I-10. All in all it was a successful trip and I had all of the charging stations to myself! I am pretty sure those days are over now.

We're also on our third PHEV, because we want to drive in all-electric locally but not have to deal with the public-charging infrastructure on our long (7000-mile) annual road trips to see family cross-country. BEVs are great as long as you can charge at home and basically stay within range of home with it and/or have a PHEV or other ICEV for road trips (as many/most BEV owners seem to have). If you never have to access public charging and can charge at home, it makes little sense to own an ICEV, frankly; BEVs make the only real sense then.

Right now sticking with what I got and I actually went and looked at a Harley Davidson today for secondary hobby and trying to figure out when the hell DIRECTV‘s going to get all my channels back now lol
