I think you're on to something @ChasingCoral. We all got emails leading up to the order conversion process as well that implied something was going to happen without overtly saying so.

We all need to keep in mind that the people on these forums are probably the most informed and 'anxious' MME owners to be. Most people aren't this 'involved' and will look at these emails and releases as real information.

Hopefully, some of you will start getting updates with production queueing numbers, VINs and the like in a week or two.

We have been expecting it to happen right about now. Aug 20th is the date that I remember in my head. I don't remember if it was scheduling complete by 8/20 or begins on 8/20 or "we are lining up our ducks" on 8/20. Probably the last one based on the "FE Drop" thread running right now....

I thought that scheduling was going to START today, getting their ducks in a row would seem to be a prerequisite for that all to happen. It would seem to be a lot of work to get that all lined up, VINs issued, parts ordered, etc.

The company I work for has 4 manufacturing plants. When the product ships and is installed, it looks very high quality and professional. If only our customers knew the fire drill they go through at our plant every time we start a new project. Scrambling for raw materials, fasteners and electronics....it's like the Benny Hill Show around here.....

I remember hearing an 8/20 date for something but it doesn't make sense for anything but maybe FEs. We've seen the "Order by August 31" emails to make it into the production queue (non-FE/GT), so the production order likely doesn't get finalized until early Sept.

Official word per the July 3 FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin), here's the production timetable for the 2021 Mustang Mach-E.

• 06/22/2020 - 2021MY Order Bank Open Date
• 08/20/2020 - 2021MY Scheduling Begins
• 10/26/2020 - 2021MY Job #1 Date

Official word per the July 3 FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin), here's the production timetable for the 2021 Mustang Mach-E.

• 06/22/2020 - 2021MY Order Bank Open Date
• 08/20/2020 - 2021MY Scheduling Begins
• 10/26/2020 - 2021MY Job #1 Date

We've since heard from @trutolife27's contact in Cuautitlan that FCTP (dealer demos) start production September 28.

"Begins" makes sense, as in just partial, like the FEs first. And since the FE order deadline moved back a few times, that may slide with it.

Kind of like the time when I put a bunch of burgers on the grill and then everyone was late to the party. "What am I going to do with all these hamburgers now?....."

This was handled with a third party marketing firm with various other third party sponsors. Seems unlikely this was a last minute scramble. Companies like this don't move that fast.
