Increasiing mileage estimates?

I’ve noticed that after a year and a half of owning my Mach e Select, that the expected mileage per full charge has been increasing instead of decreasing.
In the first few months I was getting an expected driving distance of about 252 miles. I am now seeing an expected distance of almost 280 miles!
Could this be attributed to any of the software updates?
BTW, I charge to 80% and then add 20% based on the initial 80% numbers. For example : 233 @ 80% plus 20% x 233=46.6, so 100% = 279.6

If your MpK hasn’t changed, neither has your range. There’s a reason it’s called “GOM”.

And your math is wrong. 233 at 80% = 291 at 100%. (233/0.80)

The GOM will recalibrate based on your driving history. If you're mostly in town/rural highways <50MPH, you're going to get more range than someone driving all 65+ highway, and the system will account for your averages.

It takes a while to break in your engine.

As your piston rings create friction in your cylinders after you bring it up to operating temps after multiple cycles, you’ll see a slight increase in compression and efficiency over time.

Either that or the computer is just guessing your estimated range. ?

Where do you drive? If you do mostly city driving it would creep up. Of course as we move into winter it will begin to move down.

Hmm a thread guessing about how the guess o meter guesses.. how meta.

Ford hasn’t released enough data to know what the gom uses , the algorithm contains, the changes they’ve made over time , nor in real time what your car thinks to even try and calibrate it manually.

The other day I just thought it’s be “fun” to test out my GoM. We were driving at 70 mph on blue cruise. We went 10 MILES! With our GoM showing 0 miles and 0% with a 3.2 kw/h trip average… sooooo there’s that haha gave white knuckling a whole new definition

I think it does ~30 miles after 0.

Give it a few more months. The GOM will start going the other way and you'll swear Ford installed the wrong battery.

Here is what my GOM has been reading after 100% charge since I got it last Nov. on a 2023.5 AWD w/LFP battery.
Has been going up as it warms up.

I am using premium Electric so should I be getting better results??
