IOS 26 Apple Maps Pinch to Zoom?

Has anyone tried using pinch to zoom with Apple Maps with IOS 26? Does it work?

swipe to move maps in CarPlay seems intermittent to me. It’s infuriating that CarPlay won’t let me use multitouch on maps but Android Auto will.

Thanks. Still on the fence about updating to IOS 26. I can swipe around Apple Maps and Google Maps as well on 18.6.2. Funny thing, I would have sworn that Google Maps allowed me to pinch and zoom this weekend. But I tried it again this morning, and I can move around with one finger but no pinch to zoom.

I just wish it would give you an option of seeing all your upcoming turns listed. Google maps on Android Auto allowed this, but neither Apple Maps nor Google maps allows it on Car Play.

You can tap and drag straight up or straight down to zoom in and out. Might be mistaken but I think that also applies to Waze.

Also is the PAAK functional with the just released ios 26?

i have not update the iOS Ford app, but I did update to OS26 and PAAK works fine.

The turn by turn list will appear on the iPhone if you open Maps on the phone while connected to CarPlay.

I know (thank you though!), but I don’t want to have to use my phone while driving. Would be a lot more helpful, convenient, and safe to have it on the car’s screen IMO

Somewhat unrelated - but I noticed that Google Maps now shows turn by turn in the instrument cluster. Hoping waze adds support soon…

I updated ford pass 5.28 first then IOS 26. Seems to working ok with PAAK and ford pass.
Next I'll try maps...

If you have your iPhone mounted in view then the phone screen displays a list of all turns that progresses as you drive. Yes, this is not the same as having a list on the sync screen, and I would also like this, and you may prefer to have your phone out of sight.
