Weirdos? Here? In my Mach-e forum? Nooooooooooo, surely.

What about a cup holder big enough to hold a Scotch glass ?
That’s what blue cruise is for, you never have to put it down.

If they’re built in 2024, I’d call them 2024s. If they’re built in 2025 I’d call them 2025s or planned cars. Not every division in production has a meaning to the ultimate customer, some are just marks on calendars. Others matter, such as when a significant software change was made or a major decontenting from earlier models in the same year.

As for J1 2021s, those were fairly different than later cars. For example things we had:

1. Self park that works in limited conditions and parks slower than your Labrador Retriever could do it, while simultaneously scaring you more than if you let your cat park the car.

2. Kick to open roulette. Will or won’t the liftgate open or do I have to make every person at the grocery store wonder whether I’m having a seizure or if I’m abusing that car?

3. I’ve got the windshield blues. Is it or is it not glued in?

4. Glued glass (Reprise). Is the sunroof actually attached to the car by anything other than gaskets, a few ounces of rubber, and gravity?

5. I’ve got the High Voltage Battery Junction box blues. We had the OG fryable HVBJB. None of this improved stuff for us!

6. Infinite Blue.

7. Carbonized grey.

8. First Edition.

9. 18 month waits.

You may be cool, but you’ll never be 2021 Job 1 cool. ;)
Carbonized grey is back I think starting in 2024 model year? I see them all the time now. I used to be special.

Well this is going to make more than a few people happy.

@elmedico27 Another one.
If they ever get it. I just finally received 6.8.0 this morning. Here’s hoping my luck continue next year.

The “who moved my cheese (speedometer)” crowd will be very happy about this one
I lost mine this morning. Now no reason to be in anything other than engage for me.

That's crazy to me. Not sure why they would send an OTA for the old version and not the newer one, but I digress.

Why is this the update I’m getting? Different from the one everyone else is talking about. 2023 AWD Premium.

Gotcha. But why am I not getting the IPC update? Anything I need to do? Or just model of car?
Ford sometimes releases new updates to different model years at wildly different times. New updates typically come out for testing to those in the Early Access Program. Updates that show up for EAP users typically mean a general release is close if there are no show stopping issues.

You're not seeing this update because you're likely not in EAP, the update hasn't been released to your car yet or Ford found some bugs that cause the update to be paused and or something else we're not aware of.

You can't force your car to receive updates. You get them when you get them and update releases don't follow any pattern if there are no dependencies. Basically don't lose sleep over not getting updates and not being fully up to date like other people. It takes time. If you want to be fully updated as soon as everyone else, you may need to brush up on the thread about updating your car via FDRS.

In anycase, deep dive into the search feature of this forum. There is a lot to read if you're new to the Macheforum and the Mach-E.

ok thanks. That makes sense. Was thinking that could be the reason. Sorry I tried doing some digging before hand but couldn’t find anything so I just asked. Didn’t want to waste anymore time digging around. Thanks for the input I appreciate it.
