How is your PAAK treating you?

Oh there's so many jokes you set me up for and half of them are inappropriate so I'll just answer your question...

I don't have any issue with how fast it responds although in my testing this was the response when I hid the persistent notification and had battery restrictions in place.
Lol make the joke! Make the joke!

Hmm.. interesting. I do not have battery restrictions turned on, but I do have the persistent notification hidden. I sincerely hope that's not the deciding factor here. Cause that constant "trying to connect to your car" notification got really old really fast

Try turning it back on and let me know how it goes! Maybe next time I'm in Utah we can grab drinks or food and I'll tell the jokes then.

Mine still has issues but openly I believe it to be my phone. I got a firmware update on the phone two months ago and had connectivity issues since. The phone won't even connect to my tv anymore

Mine has been working perfectly. No delay when approaching the car, so I get my puddle ponies. ? Door unlocks and opens without needing to wait for it to respond and trying the button a few times. Car starts immediately when getting in, no waiting for it to connect anymore or trying a few times and having to use the backup code because it refuses to connect. No restarting my Bluetooth or turning PaaK off and back on again by restarting FordPass. It's exactly as fast as if I have a fob on me. For me personally, I don't think there is much else Ford could do to it, to make it any better because it's perfect right now. (For me anyway ?)

Sometime in the last few weeks I have noticed that my PAAK has been working like it is advertised to work. It has been almost flawless, and I have even been able to leave my phone in my pocket and drive away a few times if I forget to put it on the console. This maybe should not be newsworthy, but I would get hopeful after every Android app update and PowerUp over the last year that maybe this would be the update that fixed it. Recently I think they did it, and I am not sure what part got it over the hump but I absolutely love it. Now I am not as nervous that I am going to be showing off my car to friends or family and be met with the "No Key Detected" warning instead of starting.

I'm sure as a punishment for posting this bluetooth is going to turn my phone into a space heater tomorrow, and I will type my passcode once a day for the next month, but I thought it would be nice to send the software folks at Ford (or their outsource contractors???) a gold star for their effort.
Mine has been almost flawless since the beginning, late Job 1 car, iPhone 11, no CSP update yet. Until this morning, when I got the dreaded no key detected and no amount of locking/unlocking/repositioning the phone would make it work. Cycling bluetooth and power cycling the phone also didn't work. Strange given how long it has worked so well for me.

I'm curious how people lock their MME? I see lots of references to unlocking and starting, but very few about locking the car after getting out. Does PaaK allow you to just walk away from the car and it locks automatically? Or do most folks use the app itself or the trick where you push the door code buttons?

My current car has the handles that you just need to touch to lock/unlock (when you have a fob in your pocket) and it's honestly one of my favorite features.

I just walk away. When PAAK was more hit and miss I had to be in the habit of making sure the doors locked, and very occasionally I would have to pull out the phone and hit the lock button in the app, or walk back to the car and hit the lock spot on one of the door pillars.

Now lately unless I walk away while the tailgate is closing, it locks very consistently when I walk away and I don't really have to think about it anymore.

I’m old-fashioned. I open the door, press the lock button, get out, close the door. ?‍♂?

Well. While the other PAAK thread is engulfed in a war
Ford Mustang Mach-E Is PAAK really good now? bh187-braveheart

I have some preliminary results. I don't understand why, but unhiding that notification did indeed help it react faster... Only I've tried it a couple times so far but it does indeed seem to be quicker.

And to be honest I'm not sure how I feel about this discovery.. it's nice that it's reacting faster, but having this present all the time is going to drive, OCD, dramatic me insane:

Keep trying it and let me know. Sometimes, just sometimes I say things that actually work. No guarantees however!

I just touch the lock button on the outside of the door.

It mostly works for me, but I'm the secondary phone, so I don't know if that matters. We set everything up first with my wife's phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max).

I had the key not detected thing happen when trying to move the car to another parking area. After waiting a little bit it finally detected it. It's laggy when I try to open doors sometimes. After waiting a little it works. I figure this is just bluetooth lag. I can almost NEVER seem to get the doors to lock when I touch the lock icon. It works flawlessly if I have an actual key. I have an iPhone 12. I just updated iOS to 15.3.1 yesterday, so don't know if it will work better or worse.

Mine works great except the kick to open feature. I turned it back on a few days ago but it doesn't work when I walk up to the car unless I am carrying my Fob. Which I am not carrying any more.

I use kick to open on the tailgate with PAAK almost every time without issue. The "sweet spot" seems to be kicking straight in and back out in a particular place. If you look at your license place, divide it in half, and kick under the left side of it, I've had near-perfect reliability. Hope you can get yours all working!
