Is There a Trunk Light?

This may be a dumb question, but is there a light in the Mach E trunk? If so, how would you go about making sure it's on.

Do you mean the Frunk or the tailgate area?
Maybe this is a dumb answer but have you tried looking at the light to see if it is on?

Yes. The light switch is near the map lights up front.

Yep, in both the front trunk and rear cargo area. They both come on automatically when the appropriate access (hood or hatch) is opened.

Try this.
It took me a while to find it also. There is a switch up where you can store your sunglasses. That switch will enable the lights to come on when a door is opened, including the rear liftgate.

I think mine is off too. Opened the liftgate the other night and the light didn't come on. Gonna have to play button roulette to figure out which one does it only when the liftgate is open.

My "turn the cabin lights on when the door is opened" switch was turned off when I got the car, too. IIRC it's the switch on the right hand side closest to the windshield

Thank You , I have/had same issue , dealer , service person could not figure it out by playing on big main screen and booked a service appoint for a week later.Now that I see your post [ and Thank You for illustration, much appreciated! ] I will cancel appointment . I guess it takes a "special " person to know Mach-E things , or training and they are not knowledgeable about electric vehicles.

Nah. Just somebody willing to read the owner’s manual. Just think of all the other things the car can do that you may be missing.

There are so many tweaks in the options that folks may want to customize if only they took the time to seek them out. Wiper behavior, adaptive cruise settings, unit measurements.... tons of stuff! Read the manual and dig into the options people! You may find out you like the car more after customizing a few things to your liking.

as you stated [ jokingly] Now that I know about the switch , I too leave it off, turn it on if I go out in evening , to say pick something up - for convenience and illumination , But generally leave it turned off , that way does not hurt my range when not needed - like during the day.
