Ford obviously called the Mach-e a Mustang for marketing and they truly succeeded. It's a beautifully styled car. But, regardless of the drivetrain, the Mach-e is a cross over, basically the size of a Ford Escape. It is not a sports car. It's going to appeal to customers who want convenience of a 4 door SUV and want an alternative to a Tesla. Customers who want a Mustang will buy a Mustang (again whether it's BEV or ICE). Two totally different customer segments.
BTW, the interior of the Mach-e, the instrumentation and info screen, need a lot of help. At least it's 100% better than the Tesla, but after seeing the dash on Audi e-tron, Porsche Taycan, Kia EV6, those are so much better than the Mach-e. Hope Ford is listening.
