All I can say is that my HVBJB was replaced with the Corvette jack pads permanently installed and the dealership didn't mention any concerns.

I presume the holes are used in the factory, but I've not heard of any other systems that use the holes post manufacturing. That said, I'm no expert...
Do you think there is any chance of corrosion of the Vette pucks or railing with salt and water getting in between the puck and railing.

is there any issue you think would cause a problem at a local gas station or tire place With the Vette pucks installed

John, another technical comment: the Mach E's side plastic trim that wraps under the side and over the lift rail, should IMHO be accounted for. I cut a slice out of my Tesla pucks for this.

...imagine cutting a slice of salami, and then cutting a wedge off one side of that slice... something like that.

Otherwise, the John FoxeSheets lift puck will bear onto that plastic overlapping trim piece and will as a result not be in a solid contact with the lift rail.

What do you think? Want me to take measurements tomorrow?

It could be an issue I suppose, especially if you live in an area where the roads are salted in the winter. Some have put a layer between the puck and the rail. It didn’t, but you have me thinking about it…

Martin, the mount for these picks isn’t centered like it is for the corvette ones. It’s well off-center to account for the trim. That said, there’s not a lot of room to play with here since the holes/(slots in the rear) are only 22.5 mm in diameter, so I had to make the puck rest right up against the trim.

But I’d love for you to take measurements. I did mine on the 2023 Premium loaner that I had while my HVBJB was being repaired. Having measurements from an older car would be great. One measurement I forgot to make was the height of the battery rail. If you could provide that particular, it would be great.
Thanks!

"... height of the battery rail"?

So I've updated the model with the battery rail height as provided by Martin (thank you!). As you can see in the renders below, the battery rail is taller than the Jack Pad. I don't think this is a concern since there's quite a bit of space between the Pad and the battery rail and per Franklin's comment about a protuberance that could damage the body if struck, it's probably best that the Pad is shorter than the battery rail.

(Note that I'd added a quick mockup of the rocker panel plastic trim in these renders in order to show that the Pad doesn't crash with that trim.)

It's easiest to see the relative heights of the Pad and the battery rail in this side view (a view you would only ever have if you sawed that car in half).

In case anyone is interested, I've made versions of the Pad and the Anchor for 3D printing test samples. These versions are designed to use about a 1/3 less resin in total than the solid versions yet still be dimensionally stable (though not design to hold the weight of the Mach E!).

Oh, and the Anchor is cute ?

It seems I can't attach the STL files for 3D printing here, so DM me if you'd like a copy for testing.

PS. No, the Pad is not supposed to remind you of Westworld!

looking great!!! looking forward to the final product.
Thanks. To be clear, I don't plan to make these. I made the design and am happy to share it with anyone who wants to try it. (Including you!?)

"wisdom" isn't the word I'd use (lol), but thanks just the same!

I designed it with aluminum in mind, but someone suggested nylon, which I suppose could work too. There are undoubtedly a number of materials that this could be made from. Obviously it would be least expensive if a mold were made for casting rather than CNC machined. You folks obviously would be in a good position to take on something like that...

Quit teasing us with this design and let us know when we can buy it. Much better than ring design puck that has to be removed whereas this can stay in place.
