Lease in NY

Has anyone done a lease in NY after Jan 3rd 2023?
Interested to hear how you did.
I have my 2023 Prem AWD SR on the way and I am strongly considering leasing rather than buying for a number of reasons.
1) More competion coming
2) Everchanging battery and charging technology
3) Possible extended lull in the economy.

I just don't want to look back after 3 years and be underwater with the car or stuck with a car that is fast becoming obsolete.

So.. have any of you NY'ers done the straight lease?

You may want to also consider looking into Ford Options. Ford Options gives you the same ability, like a lease (RCL), to return the vehicle after the contract term. But with Ford Options you can also keep (buy/refi) the vehicle at the end of the term. With RCL on an EV you won't have the option to buy the car at the end of the lease term, your only option at this time is to turn it back in.

I am from NY, got the vehicle in Dec 2022, did not lease as the interest rate was crazy, so did ford options got 2 k off and 2.4 % interest rate

I would wait to see how the whole IRA tax credits shake out if you can. Ford doesn't allow you to buy the EV after the lease is up so it's sorta a mess right now. Mercedes has $7.5k lease cash right now (or they did last I checked) and leasing is a way around the EV tax credit.

Ford Options doesn't have as good of a credit back currently (does it have any?).

Definitely look into Ford Options.

That said, hopefully Ford starts offering leases on the Mach E and that they ultimately pass the tax credit on to consumers:

There is a loophole in the IRA. If you can claim to be leasing for business reasons (like you are an Uber driver) you should be able to get $7500 off
