“We’re going to ship an adapter to everyone who’s bought a Ford EV,” Farley said.
I can't believe this horse is still being beaten.

You missed Farley's second sentence - "It will only be $7.50 a month for 400 months".

Ford clearly clarified after this statement that it will NOT BE FREE.

So that one supports 1000v as well. The Ionics will get less than 100kw on Superchargers due to the voltage limit.

FYI the Hummer and Rivian can pull 170kw on working 150kw EA chargers, the 150 rating is really a minimum.
WHEN THEY WORK, the 150kW listed on charge station is actually the max not minimum. If a vehicle is pulling 170kW at 150kW station, it would be very very brief, or should throw the breaker. Would be against electric code to have something rated 150kW drawing 170kW continuesly. Maybe that is why 1/2 EA stations broken? A 150kW charger should only offer 150kW. When plugging in the car CCS protocal tell DCFC how many kW car can take, DCFS tells car how many KW it can offer. Neither the EV or the DCFC should allow a draw over max.

Yes everyone concentrates on ONE interview, not the 50 emails and additional interviews. All the rest state price not set. They will send one to everyone who pays!

PS code speaks in amps. KW and amps are differant. However, still 150kW charger won't deliver more that 150kW.

My Rivian has gone above on a 150kw. And Hummers have gone as high as 367 on a 350. The vehicles do not request kw, they request amps.

I'd suggest that Tesla outfit ALL their Supercharging stations with Magic Docks. That way they have complete control over what equipment is used, I don't have to incur any capital expense to join their charging network, and there would be no need for me to fumble around with an external adapter.
Just sayin'...........
(Disclaimer: This totally naive comment, besides being wishful thinking, has about zero chance of coming to fruition.) ?

My husband is convinced this is actually what Tesla intends to do. We will see?

Especially with almost every manufacturer adopting NACS!

Why would they if they can sell thousands of NACS -> CCS1 adapters.

Control over the adapters, and control over prices. If everyone who has to use the built in CCS gets charged a higher price than the cars who use the NACS connectors, that's extra money going to Tesla at every charge. Why sell something once when you can make it an ongoing cost?

It would still be an ongoing cost if you've sold someone an adapter, too.

I literally listened to the convo live and thought I was going insane with all these fokes saying it was going to be free. They both basically said it would be priced accordingly, which to me is not free, so I am glad I am not as insane as my wife leads me to believe, :p.

I think it might be harder to be allowed to charge different EVs different prices without a physically tangible different interface like the built in magic dock adapter. But as I said, we will see. I expect Tesla will do whatever is most likely to make Tesla the most money.
