I have a 4 in the 8th digitAs Fenske points out, it’s pretty easy to tell if one’s Ford EV is equipped with an LFP battery, as that information is outlined in the owner’s manual. There, Ford notes that if the eighth digit in a vehicle’s VIN is a 4 or 5, it indicates that the vehicle is indeed equipped with an LFP battery. If the VIN contains any other digit or number, it’s equipped with a nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) battery pack.
Hmmmmmmm! 4 .............. 4 ............ not a 5 but a 4! Hmmmmmmmmmm! Not a letter or any number like 1,2,3,6,7,8,9,or 0. Hmmmmmmmmm!!!! Bingo! Eureka! Must be an LPF.I have a 4 in the 8th digit
Battery chemistry is only a question for the standard range models. All ERs are NCM.I just looked on the window sticker which said "91KWH Usable Ext NCM Batt
