I've noticed once when home charging and at a DCFC while sitting inside there's a loud rush of liquid noise behind the dash. Almost as if it's bleeding itself of air.

Any idea what that is? To me it sounds like there's not enough fluid.

Also, my one DCFC only hit 47 kWh going from 50% to 71% in 24 degree weather.
The electrons are noisy bouncing around in the hose. Be careful with the charging cord so that you do not to spill the electrons on the ground. Electrons are extremely small and VERY hard to clean up after a a spill. ;)

It runs the engine during charging? That seems counterintuitive and dangerous. What if it's in a closed garage?
Don't know about garaging, since I don't. I suspect someone has worked that one out.

This gurgling sound is worse than my belly after Taco Tuesday
if you think of it next time, make a recording of the noise and post it here. Maybe, it's just some air in the coolant system

If you do have a spill, just use the included electron transport chain #biology

It's just the engine fans. The accessories on the PHEV version of Pentastar V6 are electrically driven and this is one of the reasons. We can divert a bit of the charge coming in to run the fans independently of the engine.

Okay, that sounds much safer. I do remember when they first came out that pre-conditioning the cabin in the Pacifica PHEV could start the engine. Is that still the case? Still not good if it's in a closed garage.

For the engine to start you have to perform an "active" action, like remote start using the app or fob OR pushing the start button in the vehicle itself. Otherwise the vehicle uses the electrical system to precondition while it is plugged in.

So you can't actively use remote start if it's in an enclosed garage? I now that's how it was initially, but I had hoped they would have fixed that by now. Oh well. At least we know that won't be an issue with the MME.

Yes, you still can do a remote start in a garage. We don't know if the vehicle is in an enclosed space or not. We sort of have to trust the operator to know not do that (and put an amazing amount of warnings in the owners manual not to do that...)..
