Well my suspicions of something wrong with the heating system are now verified. I did some data logging this am and its not good. Curious if someone who lives in a cold area has the goodies to data log and can get one of a Mach-E with working heat. Waiting on a loaner from the dealer before I can drop it off. Added 2nd pic showing HV battery temp. @Ford Motor Company please help.

Good afternoon, Josh! Could you please send us a private message with your order details and dealership information? I would like to look into this Mach-E heating concern for you on my end. Thanks!

It got cold here last night (though not quite as bad as up there), so I went for a drive to compare.

The following is with heat=69F on Auto 2 (and seat heat on 2, wheel heat on, defrosts off)

Screenshot_20220126-141744.jpg

Getting kinda busy, but:
*Removed Coolant A as like yours, it was pegged at 15c
*Added Hvb Coolant Inlet Temp to see if it was trying to heat battery at all (seems like no).
*Added speed to see if it appears to have an effect on coolant temp as some theorized (maybe?)

Edit: Forgot to add: This was without preconditioning, battery at ~70% just after unplugging from 120v :( for a couple hours, from a garage at a bit below freezing.
Your heater wasn't even running at full power during this.

I think the real test, will be to match OP's scenario, and pre-condition first. It seems like doing the precondition got the battery up to 50f, and then wanted to try and keep it there while driving, so it was having to use 100% heating power to the battery, and then still couldn't get it to warm up.

Its possible the pre-conditioning is causing the normal programming to not work as expected.

I have tried without precondtion and just a remote start. No difference really other than i dont start warm.

What, 6kW? I mean, neither was OP's. Aligning our graphs (dotted red is mine, green is his), they're pretty darned similar steady-state.

It was at 5kw for a while, and apparently my phone cut off part of the graph so it looked like it was mostly at 5. ?‍♂

So it took 20 minutes to get your cabin to 68f. A little slow, but it was 3f outside.

And I'm guessing just driving was enough to keep your battery at a steady temp.

I think figuring out what causes the car to try to warm the pack while driving will be the factor. Once the car tries to heat the pack it has nothing left for the cabin.

How the coolant temp drops, it makes me wonder if the tubes aren't insulated enough and it's losing heat before it can even make it into the pack and adding to the problem.

So I've been going back and forth with my dealer and Ford. My dealer gave me a through response that basically confirms what we already know: There's nothing they can do. The fix needs to come with Ford.

I've continued corresponding with Ford. Ultimately, their final answer is "I am going to close the case. Please fill out the survey."

Well that's not promising. We really need a national lemon law to keep these people on thier toes. But the more that bring this up and file with transport canada the better.

App is called Car Scanner and dongle I use is one recommended by Mach-E Vlog. I forget the name of it. I mentioned earlier in this thread when someone asked.

Found it - VEEPEAK OBDCheck BLE OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner Car OBD II Diagnostic Scan Tool for iOS and Android Check Engine Light Code Reader Supports Torque, OBD Fusion App, Code Readers & Scan Tools - Amazon Canada
Ok I got old Bluetooth dongle to work with car scanner.

How do you get those graphs? I can run my car on the highway for 20 mins and check the heat. Not that cold today.

I go in and choose live data and check everything off then remove the obvious ICE pids. Then open record data and check the record data. You logs show up in that window and the graphs are made from there.

There are several Dashboard pages, so I select page with sensors I want to see (sensor grid can be modified). Sensors visible on screen are archived as trip logs (in Data recording).
