Anyone else’s heat just stop working today from some random update or am I the lucky winner again??? Seriously to the point where I feel like it should be illegal to sell a car with so many glitches. $25k cash down plus $700 a month for the last three years and it isn’t even worth $25 k anymore. And countless times in the shop. Ford got me good this time.

Funny this happened to me the other day. It was cold and it wasn't creating heat. The heat button wasn't on.

I don't understand why EV's (it's not just the Mach E) have to have this special control - my i3 never did. Just turn the heat on if the system calls for it.

Primary reason for this 'feature' in the Mach-E is to assist with battery life. Electric heating can take some range away, depending on how cold it is outside. So if you find yourself needing additional range, you can still circulate "warmer" air within the cabin, but use any battery to generate it.

Here’s one for one of our techs on the forum.

Cabin heating no longer works when driving. Fans work, everything looks and appears to perform OK but just no heating.

Tested HVB output in drive mode which increases & decreases when A/C is turned on & off but no difference when e-heat is turned one & off.

So overnight I charged to 90% and whilst still plugged in I set pre-conditioning to work on warm setting - the heater worked just fine in those circumstances.

My thinking, the PTC resistance heater works fine and it must be something faulty in the control system the heating system uses whilst vehicle is on and driving but the pre-conditioning system don’t use, interior temp sensor or something?

Any ideas!

Did you get resolution on this? Just happened to me this morning. Glad it’s a little warmer this week at least

Agreed, it’s glitchy as f**k, press enter twice to get a few line spaces and you lose much of what you just typed which pisses me no end 😡

I have had the same problem all winter. If I charge to 90% or above the heater works for the whole journey down to a low battery. If I only charge to 80% (which i normally do) the heater will not work. It doesn't work with pre conditioning either, below 90%.
