Lol my main screen bricked

Happened a couple of hours ago. Does nothing. Can’t press anything. The screen goes black after a minute. Music plays though lol.
I tried restarting the car after 2 hours and same thing. I tried the search bar to see if someone had something similar but nothing.
Another headache.

Cool. That is a new one I've not seen. Hopefully others know. You could do a hard sync reset but I'd wait for others to chime in first.

Some of the “fixes” sound like calling customer service when your internet is out at your house…….


Did you try unplugging it? Ok try unplugging again.

Now hit the reset button

Ok that didn’t work? Try unplugging it again, but for a full minute this time.

Is the green light flashing?

Because shockingly, a lot of stuff gets fixed when restarted.

If you can, try and disconnect the 12v. If not, try and adjust the brightness of the instrument cluster, the buttons are to the left of the steering wheel by your lights. I think I recall someone else’s going out and adjusting the brightness woke it up.

You may be in the middle of receiving an over the air, which sometimes causes the car to act funky until it has competed.

I had exactly the same thing. Disconnected the neg 12V and waited 30 seconds reconnected and the car is fine now.

Yes it does. But a car shouldn’t be this buggy.

I have had cars with infotainment screens for 15 years.

Never once had to pull a fuse, battery cable or reset them to get them to work.
