I've had the Mach E Select for 5 months now and will be selling it to a friend of fine, I've loved this ev for the time as it has really thought me a lot about charging and how evs really work.

What has/had me worried is how bad it is to sell these vehicles ,as ive had it on marketplace for over 2 months with not one hit and all the dealers really trying to low ball for trade ins.

Now that I got that out of the way is there any ev out there that mach e owners have gone to and said yeah this car is better. I was looking at the EV9 but they are plagued with iccu issues. The Lyriq has a ton of software issues.

My wife and I are looking at the Tesla Model Y juniper but I wanted to see what other mach e owners are jumping to?

I might even consider just going up to a Premium Extended range Mach E or a GT for the better seats and suspension, but I really don't know what to get.

I think Tesla is the only manufacturer who has been around long enough to solve most of the software/hardware issues that more recent manufacturers are still solving. That said, the MachE has been around a "long time" in terms of modern EV platforms and have solved a lot. Having test driven a 2025 Rally coming from a 2023 Premium RWD I can attest the GT trim Magneride is a big improvement over the standard (Premium/Select) trim suspension, so if you like the MachE and are looking to upgrade I'd say stick with that's familiar and you know you like.

Have you looked at Carvana or any of the online car dealers that do trade-ins? They typically follow a standard price when you plug in year/model/miles. I feel EV resale is finally coming up along with repair costs coming down as the market figures out the value.

The only thing stopping me from a GT is the range, but I read somewhere online that a GT and a Extended range isn't too much of a difference? Am I correct in saying this?

I think if I were to get the better seats, the better suspension and the much faster motor with an upgrade to range I'd be happy.

My wife is going to tell me to go for the one with more range though

Your select has either a 73 kWh or 88 kWh battery in it.
The GT trims all include a 91-kWh Extended Range
So the GT trim will give you more range than you currently have.

That said, if you floor it everywhere in the GT you'll obviously get less range. If you're on a highway trip driving conservatively, then on paper the GT should get you farther.

If you lease you can remove the resale/depreciation problem. If you’re good with buying used, you can make the depreciation work for you, just shop around.

if money no objective I would look at GTPE or Rally - I got lost which one has magneride in 2026. IMHO Rally has best suspension from all MME line. if range is concern than Premium Extended range RWD ( I personally like AWD)

I'd stay away from Tesla on principle. We dumped ours because of Musks government destructive actions. And I've heard that the new Y's are actually plagued with problems that our older Tesla did not have.

going to a new 2024 Mach E GT we are pleased with almost everything. Great acceleration, ride, handling and more intuitive controls.

go for it!
