Best defense is a good paint sealant or going full ceramic/enamel coating. You still have to clean them off but with a good sealant on the paint they should easily spray off and wipe off. A touchless car wash should get most if not all at that point or like others said keep a microfiber towel and some detail spray around.
I'm getting ppf on this car specifically for this reason, that and rock chips since the front end is one solid piece. It'll be my first car with PPF.
