You have it confused. For our purposes, Trap speed refers to the terminal velocity achieved in the 1/4 mile. The 4X consistently runs between 13.4-13.6 secs E.T. (Elapsed time) at 103-103.5mph according to published test data (and confirmed by my Dragy runs). Yes, the GT runs 12.4-12.7 sec 1/4 mile E.T., but the trap speed in published test results is usually 101-103mph, thus, it is up to a full second quicker to the 1/4 mile traps but it’s speed is much lower than the E.T. would indicate. Also, testing has shown the 4X to be about 2 secs quicker to 110mph than the GT. So, the GT is first to the 1/4 mile, but, the “lowly” 4X is already sucking it up big time. Btw, the top speed for the 4X is 113-114mph (I’ve verified it) and the GT is 124mph according to test data.I'm confused - the cars have the same top speed, right? The GT PE got there faster, hence the second faster time. Both cars can hit top speed in less than a 1/4 mile, which is pretty amazing, really. Please clarify why you're "so mad at Ford."
All because of the 5 second limit that severely curtails GT acceleration past about 75mph. So, hence, I’m mad at Ford.
